Not true, I've made a healthy living off of people who have returned for more profiles.
Now, what you mean (I think) is that you should only buy one. Or something. That's what everyone thinks. I myself like redoing profiles for people..
I had this in mind when I was writing it but it still doesn't fix the problem of what beginners can buy because they can be pretty expensive and still that's just one way of spending credits and getting something else besides more credits.

No, think about it. It's not about adding a feature into the FFR Shop - it's about creating the features into the game themselves. One example I would love to see but may be too difficult is to add new themes (visual layout of the game) to the engine. I've heard that the visual interface is too deeply built into the game to make modifications without starting again from the ground up.
Time to consult Velocity or arcnmx...
Yeah I see what you're saying, and it is pretty sad that we're shot to the ground in terms of adding features to the site because no one has the nous to do it. Adding themes to the engine does seem like a hell of a job anyway. I'm not sure how people on SM do it as well as osu. Sorry for the DP

True. Sometimes even I think my prices are harsh, but then it just makes them all the more worth it when you've spent for one.
Anyway, We need purchasable and unlockable skins in-game. That would be the best damn thing ever.

SM is tricky since there is a large amount of stuff to play around with in the metrics and etc. The problem isn't the fact that it's versatile, it's the problem that there isn't really a guide to doing it, except take what others have done, and do it differently from theirs.
Osu on the other hand is just editting images for the most part. (from what I've seen and done with it so far..)
We did have BlackWebb's skins, but they got scrapped for R^3 I thought? I haven't even a clue what everyone is doing lately.
I was pretty damn excited to see BlackWebb as a finished product. D:

I may or may not have a number of the submissions still, not sure at the moment because my computer crashed again and doesn't want to boot... Either way, there wasn't much to talk about. A few decent skins, but nothing overly crazy.
The first step towards skins in the engines would be color modifications of the engine. Which to tell you the truth would be really easy if the engine weren't compiled using image specifics for the references. All the dimensions and boxes, etc would be the same, just color differences. That probably wouldn't be hard I wouldn't think. Purple R3 anyone?
edit: haven't seen anything recent when it comes to R3 source code, so I could be wrong on the details for the images on boxes, etc. But I still wouldn't think it would be overly difficult.
R^3 right now can easily support buying noteskins since I designed it with that in mind. Themeable interfaces aren't the easiest thing in the world to make since you kinda need to think about that from the beginning but I'm working on that.
Also, anyone mind being able to buy profile/multiplayer colors?

That sounds like a wonderful idea! Increased customization while clearing out credits, simple and probably pretty effective. Would the colors be able to be switched back and forth after purchase? Say I bought two or three color options, would those be permanent switchable options, or were you planning on having users re-buy them?
Also, anyone mind being able to buy profile/multiplayer colors?
+1
Isn't there a way to slap on a seamless texture onto an arrow template? What I really want to see is a noteskins contest. The top 3 get their skins in game and prizes etc.
