    How lean are you now?

Pics would be helpful, or BF% caliper measurements.

Like, I anticipate it will take me about 3 months to lean out to where I want to be. However, how long it will take depends entirely on where you are at now.

If you want to look lean for say, June, I wouldn't bulk for much longer than a month or so. You'll want to cut for at least 8 weeks I would think.

How lean are you looking to get? I'm guessing I'm around 13-15% right now, but I'll see if I can get a caliper to confirm it. I'd probably want to look lean for July instead of June.

You could probably bulk till the end of april then.

It depends entirely on how lean you want to get though.

General rule of thumb will be that you won't lose more than 2 lbs of fat a week. 1.5 lbs a week is more of a safe estimate. @ 15% BF, and 160 lb body mass, that's about 24 pounds of fat.

If you want to look 'lean' you'll want to come in at under 10% body fat. @ 9% body fat you would need to lose 10 lbs of fat and your weight would be a maximum of 150 lbs (realistically it is going to be much less than this because of glycogen + water loss. I would expect to weigh in at more like 140-145).

So, 10/1.5 = 6-7 weeks of very strict dieting to get that lean.

Add some leeway for dietary mistakes and that brings you to about 8 weeks of cutting necessary to be 'beach body' lean.

Assuming your body fat % is actually 15%.

I personally want to get down to about 6-7% and be quite a bit leaner than I ever have been before.

Thanks, man. What should I be looking at for caloric intake until the end of April, and then once I start cutting? My realistic goal is somewhere like 8%, I'd be happy with that.

For me - to lose about 1-1.5 pounds a week I need to eat around 2000 calories.
            By the way I'm 6'3" and 195lbs.

Are you 160 lbs? 5'9? I remember you saying you were similar to SCwolf.

@ those stats, assuming you are lightly active, I would eat about 2700-3000 calories a day for 2 weeks and track your weight carefully. If it goes up more than 3 lbs or so I would drop the intake a bit. If it goes up less than 1 lb I would increase your intake.

Once you start cutting, at your size, 1500-1800 calories a day is where you would want to sit, while keeping your protein as high as possible (if you can get 150 grams, that would be great).

This was week of starting cut. Will probably take another in 3 weeks or so. Should be interesting.

                        Nice

In your front double bi, lats definitely look the weakest.

                        Looking massive overall though.

As for the handles, yeah, my friend is the same way, he was overweight and has been cutting for awhile but still has some handle action despite having almost an 8 pack lmao

I'm sure your body will readjust after another bulk and cut. Those things seem to improve over time because fat doesn't distribute itself the same way every time you bulk.

Yeah, lats have been an issue, I'm going to have to get wider than a barn door to look right. I got a deep tissue massage and they went down to my lower back, but as I've beaten myself up they've stopped doing that haha

Still needs a lot of work obviously, but that will come with time. My traps are fine though.
