The timing is trickier than it looks.

Doesn't even matter what my offset is at... its like just perfectly between a 0 and a 1 and I hate doing songs like that. That's why I'm not going for a AAA lol.

It's an in-betweener, haha. If you have a bit more of a relaxed pace with the chart, you can play fine at 0. If you're a person that likes to hit earlier, you should play on -1 (assuming 0 is your normal offset).

Maybe I'll do the offset, I do tend to hit things early .-. Bmah's advice was nice too for rolls, hitting them softer instead of pounding at keys. The times i did that i managed a clean AAA on some of the rolls :')

I cant hit the keys softly with rolls, my mind just wants to hit them as fast as possible-___- lmao

First off, hey everyone! I've been around for a while, but I'm not too much of a forum-goer. I started playing FFR again a few months ago, then saw the tournament and thought it might be a good chance to check out the community. I got thrown in D3 and have just been lurking around ever since.

I probably still have a lot to learn, I just discovered R^3 about a week ago and have fallen in love.

Second, this round's song is very fun. It was a bit frustrating though, I would play through the rolls, get a couple goods, and proceed to nail the grace note section perfectly. Next few tries, I would AAA everything up to and after the rolls, then choke and finish with 1 good. This happened like 6 times x)

I'll try to post a bit more and make more of a presence =) Good luck to everyone!

Lol, I logged on today to find myself at the bottom of the list. Not sure if I can improve _that_ much, but I'll try. I really think my performance so far has proved my point that playing a song a lot does nothing for me. After the first couple plays, I'll get a good score, and then not be able to beat it for the rest of the round. I envy you people who can just keep improving.

Welcome Mike, though I'm not really all that forum-active myself, just for tournaments.

Hey there, Mike! Nice to see a new forum-goer around here and I really hope to see you stay a bit more. You've put a lot of effort into your tournament songs and you seem to be doing well. Keep up the great work

It seems to me that most people need to play the song dozens or hundreds of times to beat their score once the songs get harder for them.
In the skill booster tourney, I played each of my songs 80-300 times to get the scores I got.
