Out without a chance in round 2 in D3 after heavy questioning of my placements when I couldn't even FC 50s. This time I think I'm ready though If I get placed D4 gonna shoot myself.

prizes for D6 should be different considering the top 8 are pretty much always the same.

The highest division now is nothing comparable to what the highest division was in the 5th official. I'm with kmay here, the overall skill level needs to be accounted for. 2nd place in the 5th official was 5-0-0-2 on Rage Template, 2nd place in the 6th official was 1 good on Rave7.

It's hard to say there's a fun aspect if you're at low-mid D6 and are never going to get tokens or any other prizes. Competition is not being stuck at the lower end and getting eliminated with nothing in return.

That being said, I have no reason to join any more official tournaments. It would just be me being a dick and preventing another player from prizes when I don't need them.

Why not add a D7 where only those that have placed in the top X (up to top 3 would make sense) in D6 in a previous tournament are placed. This division could be treated completely separately as far as prizes and such go and would be more for fun than for trying to win.

It would certainly help, but the rewards in this tournament are still so few. Top 16 in D6 were rewarded with every event and support token, while this time 3rd place is awarded with 1 token total.

There are some players outside the top 8 in D6 who are still much better compared to everyone else in D6 (Zephei for example), it wouldn't be fair either way.

Adding a d7 would offset the rewards and requirements for the profile badges, I would be happy if it were worked into the existing rewards. I don't care a whole lot, but this is a rare opportunity for me to grab a few event tokens.

But given that they are so much better, they will get their chance to place in the top X, and once they do so they will be ineligible for D6 in future tournaments. It should mean that players only get one chance to outclass the rest of D6 and keep D1-D6 more interesting.

I actually think this is a neat idea, start off with maybe the top 8 from last year and each official take the top 3 from D6 and bump them up for the next official? Sure would make things more interesting. It's kinda like making a D5.5, and the top players are still in D6 but have gone through winning D5.5 as a placement sort of thing.

To clarify: I honestly expect a D5 placement but I hope for D4.

I hope for this each official and am disappointed every year.
