I've got a pretty amazing idea for a prize for the winner of each division, but because of the trouble with physical goodies in the past I it can't be listed as an actual prize until the end. But let's just say I already have the money put aside for it, and as long as I don't run into any major financial trouble before this is over you guys will get a pretty sweet bonus for all your hard work to place first.Comment

Well I have stuck to (and will continue to stick to) absolutely no upscroll or downscroll scores on this account. For various reasons, among them to track my progress as a diagonal scroll player. Like I said, I'd like to take part, but I'll leave it up to you guys I guess.

I appreciate the fact that you support me, I didn't really expect anyone to do so since everyone is kinda vicious when it comes to the official tournaments. Why cheat in it anyway... I have every token but TWWW, and I don't care about more credits. To me, the title of champion isn't even worth having if you know you cheated to get it. Just a big lie.
That aside, I believe my replay data could be checked anyway on songs that I scored well on. I can simply save my replays of my best runs, and it'll have undefined as the scroll type. That and if I make it later into the tournament I could start trying to do videos each round to prove that I'm capable of the scores, etc. The replay thing would honestly be a really easy way to check my honesty though. Just throwing that out there.
...lol I can't video record every score I get, deleting every run that isn't a keeper... it's going to take me 10000 restarts to get some scores, and that's a lot of wasted time to try to record the stupid video. I'd rather just go with the replay thing... wouldn't even have to post them, I'll just leave my replays page open and you can view them there to verify the scroll direction..Comment

I'm going to say right now, people acting like this isn't going to help his case. The fact is there will be people that will complain and say it's unfair. He's not technically playing to the best of his ability (being that the best is on spread) when playing this way. I never said I made a decision 100% one way or another but I will not tolerate people getting on my case about it. If I allow him to do it then I guess you guys don't mind if I let AJ come in and play D5 on downscroll right?

But hey at least yer not trying to sandbag ect if I was running it I'd seriously consider it at least.
Edit: Aj on downscroll would be awesome as it opens D6 slightly for past participants who haven't been able to shine under the shadows of the greatest. (Not to say there's anything wrong with Aj/Doss/Luis/OWA ect playing, just we all know that at the end of the day players like them are extremely favored to make it and then that takes away spots in the top 8 from those who can't accomplish it before they hit the D6 territory ect. Gonna cut myself short 'cause it's really lengthy.)

For the sake of the official tournament, I really think that playing on different styles from your normal is a bit unfair for the same reason that people were complaining about me playing downscroll for level ranks.
The only difference here is that you have an infinite time allotted to improve your scores on your levelranks, whereas you only have 7 days to get a score in this tournament. I wouldn't enter the tournament on downscroll because I would likely get placed D5 and would make it decently far, giving people problems with my potential for increasing speed/reading going up a ton. I'm going to definitely shadow on D5 though, as I feel like I could make it to at least round 5, haha.
In any case, it's better if people just enter at their normal skill.Comment
