I can't, it's linked to my steam account, and I'm sure as hell not giving my steam account so someone with a keyboard mashed username who I've never seen post before.
Now I don't claim to know much about DotA 2, or the series as a whole but I do watch some of it played. joinDotA (Tobi Wan is the best commentator ever) Dendi and LightofHeaven are my watching spots when Im chilling.
Just watched a game between Na'vi (who are the bigshots imo these dudes wreck) &&& The Good B Team (formerly mouzsports) and it was the most intense match I've ever seen.
tl;dr Tiny is cool and Pudge is beast.
There are certainly a few things I like in DotA over League, mainly being that there is no Flash summoner spell. Think you have to buy a Force Staff or some shit like that to be able to flash. That's a HUGE thing for me; flash breaks League. Denying is meh except for the ability to deny yourself...thats decent as ****.

Yeah, I got three yesterday. Sent them to my brother to distribute to his friends at college because I have no friends of my own. foreveralone.jpg
LucKeyHoleInOne on Steam, I play usually two games a day.

Best strat: enjoy the game, play what you feel like when you feel like it. Don't think about what you are doing or why, enjoy the gameplay, the artistry behind the stepfile, and enjoy the music.
When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

i picked up a beta key but i'd definitely be 100 times worse at this than LoL (and i'm fuckin gigabad at LoL) so i'm very hesitant to actually play it
my decision-making is completely and totally shit
Honestly, it takes a LOT of time to get good at DotA. I had easily over 1000 games played on the Warcraft engine and I'm already at 401 wins on DotA 2. That doesn't even cover all the games I have watched which probably number in the 3000s. Even with all of that experience, I am still just another average player.
I went back to League after a year with one game in between that time and still had enough skill to be decent. The skills you get in DotA don't translate seamless to LoL, but there certainly is a connection.
Just give it some time. Play the bots or group up with friends. You need to get a pretty good feel for the game before you criticize your skills too harshly. I'd suggest either playing one hero over and over until you get the hang of them or completely exposing yourself by randoming and trying to play any role.
The meta game has certainly changed since I first started, but if you can deal with the mild initial learning curve, you'll be alright. Like I said, give it some time, you'll get the hang of it.

I've been playing Dota 2 since.. About Early 2012. I'm not the best. But I'm not that bad either. I think the game is hard at first but.. there are so many heroes to try out.
