★1~★24 is the Insane BMS Difficulty scale. Think of it as an extension to the IIDX 12+ difficulties. Roughly speaking, Mei [A] would be a ★8, Mendes [A] a ★6, etc.
At one point the ★ songs stopped updating, so a 2nd Insane BMS Difficulty scale, ▼ was made. However the ★ scale got revived, and now the ▼ is dormant lol
★★ Refers to the Overjoy scale. Its a much harder difficulty; a ★21 is roughly a ★★1, a ★22 a ★★2, etc.
