D5, I'm so sorry about the rating on Powerpoints... easily the biggest mistake I've made rating a file. The file has been changed to a 43.

With that being said, the next round is 41-43, so you shouldn't take too big of a jump for next round.

I'm trying my best here - I'm not so used to running a really large scale tournament, but it's good practice, haha. Starting to understand why you were always losing your mind running these in the past.

For those of you playing in D5: Powerpoints is tough, but it gets easier as you play. I'm saying this as honest as I can -- I'm not the greatest at jacks. I can handle short sequences, but most of the ones in Powerpoints are 8+ notes and it's extremely difficult for me too. However, the song definitely gets easier as you play. Take a look at my personal score progression (these are all serious runs, too):







It's definitely hard, but I think I'm pretty weak when it comes to jacks. Hell, part of the reason why the rating was so low is because I was watching Kayla playtest it and she was barrelling through these like nothing, so I figured they weren't too bad.

In Powerpoints, the 192nds cause frame issues in some of the long jacks. Particularly the few 2 frame minijacks in the long ones make them a lot worse.

This file doesn't look bad in stepmania because chord cohesion, but in FFR, anchors like that are a LOT worse.

Yeah, the file converted really badly. This was one of the files that I wanted to fix, but I'm still not able to use my Compaq even after ordering the replacement power connector -- I think something is wrong with it and I might try ordering one more (it's only a $6 part, so no big deal).

Again, I apologize for that big difficulty mistake - the file really looks considerably easier in SM - most of the difficult sections are just 16th note jacks so I figured that it wouldn't be so bad. It's definitely deceiving and while it only has 16th notes in most of its harder sections, it's definitely worthy for a low FGO (put simply: a low FGO that gets difficulty by stressing something that most others don't stress as much, being jacks).

Scores for this round. That color trill in Where's Bill was just mean and the cluster burst transitions in between the 24th HS and 2 frame minijacks were also very mean.

Not D6's file but this definitely feels like a mid FGO.

This reminds me of my "I Remember" file from my Hip Hop Tournament. Goddamn those 2 frame minijacks into the quads and those cluster bursts.

not a bad sightread, just need to pay attention at 850 and 1350, where I messed up. AAA'd all the way to 850 combo

So uh.. fun files. ****ing love this round. The trill in Where's Bill is harder than the rest of the file.. I only AAA'd it 3 times out of 12 restarts bleh Time Out was a sightread.
