    Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~

People like AJ were smart enough to know he deserved to be in D4 in the first place. There is a difference from sandbagging and not giving a **** about FFR enough to not post any scores.
Also 31G on frictional nevada and reality FC before the tourney began but i guess we all have selective vision

The majority of his scores were achieved at the very least a month prior to the tourney. We could always try contact lenses

Just bothered to check NeoMasterPie's level stats...

Lol 1g away from Oni is apparently D1 material. Also reality 9g clean is just wow. Anyway I would imagine that Neo's skill was probably above D1 before the tourney as it was, and agree with Tyson that he should have been moved up far sooner.

Oh well, congrats on the guaranteed D1 victory anyway. Not your fault the placement was off so oh well.

A player should know "Hey, I might be three divisions too low," that should be kind of obvious. Man up and request a bump.

Thats even more retarded. "oh lets take the honest and completely retarded route". If your retarded enough to put someone 3 divisions too low they should be punished by getting their shit wrecked. But you know we can't all be chivalrous knights of the round table

Human nature says otherwise. Why request a bump when you can ride easy street to a sweet victory and great prizes? I would imagine most people in a tournament given a little more slack than they should would just roll with it.

Also it's rather silly that the player should even have to request such a ridiculous bump. The point of the people placing others in the tournament was to prevent this sort of stuff from happening. Considering that tournament managers were moving others to different divisions, why wouldn't Neo have been spotted and replaced? Even if it was an oversight at first, I can imagine with some of the stats this person apparently had before and during the tournament, that it should have been taken care of quickly. I'm imagining (and hoping) that those who placed him looked at his level stats, so chances are that he just thought he belonged there for a while, thinking the placers did their job.

He isn't sandbagging to stay in D1. he is AAAing everything in the division. You guys should have moved him up earlier when he was AAAing everything but you didn't so please stay butthurt. it sustains me
You make it sound as if ONE person is at fault for this. Realize that 3 or more people had to make the mistake to put him D1. It wasn't just one person. This applied to most everyone except maybe 50 or so participants in which case 3 people placed them. But I know NMP was not one of them as I remember placing him.

I agree with you here, us placers messed up. There's no mistaking that.

                    This honestly doesn't make sense.

If you actually think no one on this site would be honest enough to say "Hey I was placed wrong please recheck my stats" I'd like to kindly remind you of Reuben_Tate who did that exact thing. It's not a punishment to be placed properly. Anyone who's actually here to really compete should have done this same exact thing. (This is aimed at one other person in particular, I hope they know who they are.)

I'm gonna come out and say it (again.) This year's placement team was just awful. I'm not going to go into specifics, but that's my thought on it. I'd like to hope I wasn't one of the people who made a large deal of errors, but to be honest, I'm pretty sure I'm responsible for at least one or two major misplacements.

                    Just my two cents again.

There are two types. People who want to win and people who want to have fun on a shitty flash game that runs at 30FPS and that people take way too seriously. The people who want to win similar to neomasterpie is smart enough to realize he is getting not only money out of this but a gift card to new egg which can get him anything. But you know since this game is 'so much fun' and 'so serious' I would assume honesty is the best policy. amirite?

If I was placed in D1 or D2 I would have requested a bump because it wouldn't be fair to the others in the tournament for me to just easily walk into the prizes and victory. People blaming human nature for being selfish is just a cop out in general. We are in control of our actions.

At this point, there's nothing we can do, it's too late. But he didn't earn it; he didn't have to battle like everyone else and he stole his prize from a more honest person. It's like dropping a major league baseball player into little league by accident, slamming the baseball down their twelve year old throats, and then winning MVP.

That's my 52 cents. Turning your back on fairness and honesty will just make your little corner of the world a latrine, no matter what the circumstance.

Are you saying someone can't have fun and take it seriously? And the addition of real prizes would make it more serious because the stakes are higher....

Either way to sum up this troll of an argument let the course of the tournament go through its flow. Worry about no one but yourself. If your not going to win and are butthurt well that sucks but you can't do nothing. This happens every year. At least Neomasterpie had the balls (and quite big balls they are) to AAA every song in the division rather than to borderline elimination every round.

If you want my honest opinion if I were the folks offering the legitimate prizes (nobody gives a shit about credits being sandbagged away from others), I wouldn't even be giving people in circumstances like this the prize they "won".

And before you rant on about how it's not his fault, it does not ****ing matter whose fault it is, he should not have been that low. The rest of the division has to deal with him being there. It's not right. In my opinion, it's not right that he wins prizes from this either. I'm pretty sure with those scores he could have easily taken first in D3 even. If that were the case, prizes, feel free. This situation is just dumb though. Almost Oni, a score on Reality that rivals mine.... That's miles out of D1's league. Next year, feel free to dump me in D2 so I can get some prizes, I'll be sure not to say anything about it.
