every anime girl has had wicked diarrhea at some point in their lifetime and this is something that every man, woman and child is going to shoulder for the rest of their lives

-Increase the number of files released weekly I mean, there is obviously no shortage of files, batches fill up in like 2 days. Why just do 5 files per week?
Because we gotta reserve a lot of them for the official tournament.
After the tournament however, files will be released as a greater pace (speculating upwards to 7/week)
at first I thought you were gonna put me in the next batch but now I see your adding ICYworld so maybe you just didn't see mine, I did the interview in post number 15. I don't mind if you don't use me, I just thought you would because you had iironic and we are similar skills. Anyways this thread is looking pretty cool, I'll answer the other questions if you want me to
-F**king ditch combo scoring already... My record on little god channel is still a mashed fc from like 3 years ago and I cant even see it replaced with a respectable 40~ goods 1 miss run I get... Just stupid.
Don't think combo scoring will be ditched, due to the fact that it's part of what makes FFR unique from some other DDR/SM counterpart. Sadly, it has become an attribute of FFR now.

-I actually like the "Amazing" accuracy thing in R^2. Anyway we can get it in the regular velocity engine? Only thing is make it the same color as perfect so it doesnt distract as much as it does now.
idk, ask Velo - it might be deliberately a beta-only feature however

-I think it would be neat/nice if we released files with priority given to new stepartists. I think it's encouraging for us to see our creation and see the response, so that we can know better for our next files, instead of having to wait 2-3 months for it to come out.
(I say this because my first file is in queue, and I really want to see public response, and havent even started another keyboard chart because I want that response first.)
If you haven't noticed, we already do give priority to new stepartists. However, there are other considerations* that also need to be taken into account to help determine the order of release.
*age of file, difficulty, tokens and themes, etc.
Not trying to piss on the thread idea but is this top rhythm gaming or "top FFR players". Because as a rhythm gamer in general I am very adept at ITG, popn music, FFR, IIDX etc. etc., but this seems to only be focused on those who are good at FFR and may not be good general overall rhythm gamers.

for those who dont know you, could you introduce yourself, and let everyone know a little bit about you. where you are from, participate in any sports, let us know!
Name's Travis, 15, male (questioned often). I'm from London Ontario Canada, which is a pretty damn boring place. I enjoy playing games that don't have anything to do with story (eg, FPS, freelancing RPG (MMO style), etc). I don't do sports cause I'm weak and asthmatic. I'm not good with explaining myself at all.
what does a normal day for you consist of?
Waking up, brushing my teeth, going on the computer. Not necessarily to play Stepmania, cause that'd mean I'm a huge f***** with no life. Usually I'm busy learning Korean or doing stuff for homeschooling. After I get off the computer since I use a shared computer, I end up either going back to sleep or playing something else. I don't really like eating unless the food's cooked already.
could you let everyone know what settings you use when you play as far as speed, keys, engine, and any other settings.
For FFR, I use 1.95x and DFJK. On songs with jumpgluts that are annoying (like in Death Piano) I use something closer like ZXCV or M,./. I spend a fair bit on Dossar's Tourney engine, usually playing difficulty 13+ files.
besides gaming in general, what are your hobbies/intrests?
I have no idea as to my hobbies and/or interests, since basically all I do is Touhou and Stepmania for the day.
how long have you been playing rhythem games, and who got you started?
I got started back in Grade... 2? My brother's friend introduced me and him to Stepmania then, and I've liked it ever since. Since it was in grade 2, I'd say it's been 8 years.
when do you feel you have reached "expert" so to say level of stepmania/ffr?
Well, for everyone it can differ because of the variety of file styles (like JS and technical files), but I feel that I became "expert" as soon as I was able to A 11eleven on Stepmania. That's when I took interest in harder files like Chik Habit Oni, Nemo, Kryptonite and various others. Though in general I feel that normal people would become "expert" as soon as they can play For Gurus Only files without much difficulty. (By that, I mean that they can potentially SDG, AAA or just get clean scores [x-0-0-0].)
about how much do you practice/play ffr/sm a week?
I don't play much as of late, but I used to play every single day for at least 3 hours. I had one day where I played for 11 hours.
who would you say your rival is?
I'm not quite sure if I have a personal rival that's on or a little above my skill level, but I like to push myself to do better by comparing my scores to people's like, say, Staiain or AlexDest. Although my scores don't come close, it pushes me to do better. Just like a rival would.
with the official ffr tournament coming up, where do you see your self placing?
It depends, cause D6 can be pretty brutal depending on what happens. Last tourney I was almost knocked out cause Kono Spoon was awkward as hell to me. I don't see myself in the top 10.
can you give any advice to those who are trying to improve?
Practice on songs you can't do. If you can play Hatten Carnival, play something like Heavenly Spores. Learn how to read patterns and practice that hand-eye-coordination and you'll be good in no time.
if you could change, or add something to ffr what would you change/add?
Since the engine and song choice aren't a big deal, I'd just say the overall site look. I know Velo's hard at work making a new site layout.
how do you feel about the recent difficulty change?
1-99 is pretty annoying, cause I can't sort that easily. With the coming 1-20 I think it'd be a little easier to know what's hard and what's not as hard. So I guess it's a good change.
who would you say surprised you the most this year as far as "skill boost" goes?
EzExZeRo. I can't necessarily explain how, but he wasn't this good before.
what feature would you like to see added/changed, and why? (let the community speak, and im sure it will make FFR better :] )
On every site page in the top right corner is your player stats, right? I'd like to see either AAAs, FCs, or TPs listed instead of Games Played. And instead of Overall Rank, it should be Average Rank. That's all I'd like changed.
tldr; i'm a ***
