Did you also ask them if they wanted to give the game a shot? (with an easier file obviously)

I did this a few times and I gave easy files, most of them couldn't even pass files with slow 8th notes but hey I stayed positive and they were still happy.

It's cool to be able to show them that you can play higher level files, but it's also good to show that the game isn't just about that !_!

On a side note, not all reactions I receive are like this; some are like "go play Guitar Hero it's way more fun" and then there's always the no life comments, so it's important to ask them if they want to give it a shot.

lol yeah i always gave out the link and like half my class would go on and play but only a few made accounts.

What's even funnier is that my teachers thought I was "hacking".... all I did was access the flash standalone downlink link from my zebulonhollus.zxq.net site and then use the indeed engine link or dossar engine.

I didn't discover FFR until I was in college, but when I did, I got at least one person interested enough that they set up a camcorder and filmed me flailing away at Gradeus back in the avmiss era. Ended up getting something like 650K on that run; I distinctly remember it was my PR2 at the time. More often, I get people asking me to stop tapping so hard. <<

Though there was that one time my brother had a friend of his over, and he said he liked Final Fantasy and played FFR once before, so I decided to show him FFLBF..."see how many themes you recognize." Then I get my 14-0-0-2 run right in front of the kid.

lol when i was in high school i played in front of multiple classes and they were all just "wow how u do dat??!?"

Lol I do that in high school all the time except not in front of classes, just people I know. Most are just content to watch.

I try and make every single one of my friends interested in this game but all my friends are just not into rhythm games like I am. I got a few people to join the site but they all stopped playing.

Well this is just it. I've got people from at -least- three different unrelated websites (if not more) to join this site and play, but it never lasted.

The most active person I've convinced that actually still lurks around here occasionally is Ghakimx. [come back! D:]

The only person I truly convinced to play FFR for a while was Sarahate. Other people I have asked either played for a day or just looked down on me and pull the no life card lmao

Wow, I actually AAA'd this one. I remember being so pissed off at this song because, like a few of the other songs w/ backgrounds (i.e. Delirium, FotBB), it would keep lagging most of the time and I would fail out. Only after I changed my FFR graphics quality to low did those songs run smoothly.

Little by little, I am improving on this song.
