Re: League of Legends
I had heard Olaf mentioned before but I've actually never played him. I just read his passive for the first time and hahahaha wow yeah that's awesome.Back to "Back to Earth"

Re: League of Legends
The thing about Trynd is you could maintain 100 ad on a bloodthirster better than trying to squeeze the most out of Maw while your ult is up. The MR and shield are kind of pointless since you're actually TRYING to (almost) die when you play Trynd, usually.Comment

Re: League of Legends
The new item is actually REALLY good. I tried it with a nocturne and I could chunk people off simply. Here's a list of what I think the perks are for the new item: The Maw.
~Pros
Nice bit of AD, not amazing but not terrible either.
Magic Resist, for dem Veigar's and Leblancs....
SpellShield when @ low life and depending on how much your maximum life is.
1 AD Per HP Missing, now this is sweet. A Berserk effect is just what this item needed, with the addition of the shield, You can build tanky and still pack a punch.
~Cons
No viable stats for a bruiser, what this means is that you can hit hard, but you don't have Life steal, Attack speed, or Critical Chance in alliance with the "berserk" effect.
Dat "Magic Resist", is not so bad, but not good really. 30-40 MR is about 10-50 damage taken off each spell.
Champs I can see this on with is:
Sivir
Nocturne
Garen
Volibear
Riven
and more (but you get the gist)

Re: League of Legends
I was actually looking for an MR item that would be good on my Sivir, and this might be it. I don't like using Banshee's because she already has a spell shield. Wit's End is nice but the only damage is a tiny on-hit thing and I don't like having to auto-attack to get the MR.Back to "Back to Earth"

Re: League of Legends
You're definitely right. I just need to get a better sense of timing on my usage of QSS to make it effective. Just need practice. It's just rare that I get far enough into a game that I build a QSS.Back to "Back to Earth"

Re: League of Legends
Well I wouldn't buy the new item on Sivir because Sivir is an AD carry. She doesn't have much HP, and the MR isn't that great for her. It's somewhat beneficial for the shield, but honestly I don't see why you would want to build that on her. Don't ever build a Wit's End on an AD carry, it's not beneficial at all either. Well, obviously it is, but not as beneficial as something like QSS or BV.
I'd stick to either a Banshee's Veil or a QSS; really depends on the opposition. Banshee's Veil for burst champions like Veigar, LeBlanc, Annie, etc and QSS for people like Malzahar or Brand (?). Honestly both items are awesome for an AD carry, so it's hard to say which one would be better for who.sigpicComment

Re: League of Legends
Generally QSS is better because you can choose when to use the active, whereas banshees passive can be timed by your opponents, etc. Also most players will take note if you have a banshees and will get a teammate to pop it, basically making it useless for the majority of a teamfight, but you will have the QSS active available until you decide to use it. Also the little bit of extra health from banshees is pretty negligible late game, especially since even with the mr you are still squishy.Well I wouldn't buy the new item on Sivir because Sivir is an AD carry.
