I'm having a LOT of trouble getting passed this taiko barrier. I can't seem to grasp dkk, dkkd, dkkkdkkk, etc type patterns.
Any tips from taiko masters on this? Or have map recommendations that would be good practice?
Basically any pattern that ends on the left hand (when started from the right) or has the note switch on the left hand kills me every time they show up.Last edited by ScarletSky; 01-6-2012, 01:32 AM.

Lol, I hope this doesn't mean "haha you suck" (PS - I do hate competitive play on osu! as one of the main reasons I play it is to take a break from competitive FFR. So don't ruin it for me too much...)
As for getting better with patterns, my main advice to you is to keep playing Taiko authentic maps, especially the ones by well-known Taiko charters (OzzyOzrock, kanpakyin, lepidopodus, etc.) They're good with using patterns that are common in the original taiko games. Also, try stepping out of your comfort zone - only going for ranks on easy maps isn't going to do you much good (it took me weeks to learn that myself).
Now scores etc.
Barely passed, got several more misses than before, oops. Can see myself breaking 1mil soon -

Turns out i was a really fast learner in osu, in just one month of fairly intensive playing i went from normals to insanes <.< (the fact that I've cleared Elite Beat Agents 100% probably has something to do with it too)Comment

Gaaah. I try and try, but I just get pissed off playing the authentic taiko maps. =S
I'll keep practicing them though. Too much dkddd, kdddk, and dddkkkddd for my liking xD
