part of the problem with an FFR guild is FFR players in WoW have totally different attitudes
you've got people like me and (from what I can tell) Darkbreezee with the "top 100 world kills" raiding attitude, then people raiding but not at the cutting edge, then people who just enjoy it casually, then people like Izzy who play on private servers...
it just doesn't work out if everyone doesn't have a common goal.
Have you ever played Vanilla or BC? Affliction DPS IMO was the hardest DPS to play when it was what it was.
I've played a lock for a long time, it was never a difficult role for me. What I can do with a pally/lock is not the sort of thing you see regularly. I've lived at target dummies and done the math for all my spells a stupid amount of times to the point where I want to kill my math teacher (i'm just kidding about that part, but srsly too many numbers) Everyone has one or a couple of those classes that they're just naturally good at. My rogue I've played for a long time, but I don't like pve with the class, just like I hate pvp on my pally now.
tl;dr I nostalgiad hard from what I wrote above and want to start playing again, may take up my guildies offer for 10k gold per month of WoW time.

I LOVE watching high-level WoW raid videos when they have vent included.
The communication is really awesome to hear.
Really reminds me of when I was raiding, except in these guilds people actually do strategy perfectly instead of a minor screw up here or there like my old guild haha
Yor'sahj looks like an incredibly fun fight. Although healing that purple debuff would be such a nightmare oh my god ;_;
Despite the fact the video weirdly cuts out for a few seconds in two places, I have to say this is one of my favorite world first videos ever.
(btw coarse language at the end, as can be expected)
The damage on Zonozz in the tentacle phases looks pretty intense. After reading the boss abilities I think their strategy here is really cool, definitely not the technique I initially thought of.
Can't wait to see the Hagara video they promised, Ultraxion whatever, might be cool to see their cooldown usage there but honestly the fight just seems a brutal DPS check not an execution fight.
Only posted these two videos because I'm a 25man raider at heart, but there's a ton of good 10man heroic videos out there too (especially because half the guilds that make videos have their 25mans banned atm lmfao)
Yor'sahj is such an awesome fight. I did the raid finder the first night it came out and it put me in a raid already in progress and he was where I ended up. Soo much fun. I haven't healed it yet because I'm slightly afraid to because it definitely is a bitch fight for healers xP
Overall, Dragon Soul and patch 4.3 in general was a definite improvement in the fun factor. Not so much the difficulty factor, but it requires a lot more coordination and team work.
Glorious Morning - Misc, level 48 We Will Fly - Dance 2, level 53 =.The Ocean.= - Dance 2, level 56, collab with krunkykai22 Garden Party - Dance, level 38
I'm annoyed by all the people who can't be bothered to read the raid finder difficulty version of that fight, and insist that red/green is like, an automatic wipe, and let us deal with yellow/red phases which in LFR are much more difficult.
Not that LFR is actually hard. Killed Deathwing as a one-shot with no deaths and only 5 healers on LFR mode...so piss easy.

Doesn't green not splash in LFR?
In which case lol that slime is completely trivialized then ._.
(but from the sounds of it, in LFR everything is completely trivialized so I guess it would just be par for the course)

to be honest, I really want to start playing WoW again but I'm not entirely sure what the RP scene is like rofl
I've actually heard really good things about WoW RP...
One of the trials in my guild right before it fell apart and I quit came from an RP server (he had an RP shout macro'd into his Heroism spell that we used to poke fun at him about hehu) and he spoke really highly of the atmosphere of the server. He said the quality of the RP you can get into if you want is really quite nice and he had a lot of fun, but he switched to our non-RP realm because one of his friends was in our guild and they wanted to raid together.
Of course there's the obvious childish stuff (lol naked night elves in Goldshire!) but many of the RP realms are full of serious players and have very good raiding and PvP as well as RP.
...if you're wondering about what the RP scene is like because you want to avoid it, just go to non-RP server. Problem solved :P

I'm wondering because I RP in Rift (I was actually a big part of our server in terms of RP, I play a cleric when I RP and I married a couple in-game lmao). Of course, I've asked in Rift and most of the responses are "lol pornshire lol everyone is a blood elf also ERP lol."
The hardcore RP servers can be a little frightening (Moonguard/Sisters of Elune lulz) but a few of the RP servers and especially the RP-PVP servers have a pretty healthy RP scene that range from people just doing the average 2-3 people RP or entire guilds that do PvP themed world RP. On my server there's even a guild that RP's during raids along with the storyline. It's nifty to watch...Not so nifty if you're not into that kind of thing.
It's hit and miss. If RP is going to be the thing you intend on doing most in WoW, do your research before you roll on a server.
Blackhorn Heroic videos are starting to pop up.
Looks like a really tightly tuned execution fight, sort of like a cross between Mimiron Firefighter and... a boss with a shitload of adds.
Blood Legion's World 2nd 25man kill.
Includes voice chat.
Angered World 6th kill overall (10man)
Includes RP voiceovers with nerdscreams at the end.
Inner Sanctum World 4th/EU first 25man
Includes voice chat and a hilarious death at the start.
Still no 25m heroic Hagara videos as far as I can tell, but I haven't really looked that hard.
Alone - World 11th, US 6th 25m Heroic Hagara Kill.
Personally I've only done Heroic Morchok so far. IMO, so far I'm getting a general feeling that DS is harder than Firelands...Which is something I'm pretty happy with.
