I'm not entirely sure what people are worried about the most. I guess it's the particular patterns that can appear, that makes people afraid. If need be, drop me a hint on my profile, and I will be glad to help you out with that pattern as much as I can. I won't be on as much in Tiny Chat seeing as I'm overseas, but in the future, if you find me in there, then ask me and I'll give you a video demonstration (like I did for iironiic, for songs such as "Blue Rose", "A Quick Death" and a couple of others).

You guys really have nothing to fear if you are prepared. If you're under-prepared, then go and practice!

Also, there isn't much point repeating the same song over and over, to get to that one particular section, then playing it over again.
You have to find as many songs as you can that contain that pattern which you struggle with, and play it from a different perspective, to find the right way for you. When I practice the piano, if I have a particular section I struggle with, there's no point playing the entire song over and over. I practice that one particular section over several playings - and that's something you can do for FFR. Although there's no rewind or fast forward button, you can either search in the isolation files, and if it's not there, find various songs that contain the pattern earlier in the file.

Rather than talking about how difficult it is, and how possible it may be that the next song will have your hated jacks, or one handed trills, use that time instead to look out for those files, and spend some time to practice, and to make those patterns come to you second-nature.

This. It helps a lot to have a second person examine a part you struggle on. Of course you won't nail it every time immediately, but you will see a major improvement overall. I'm beginning to hit that one awkward Integraation pattern much better now because of subin and I working out to figure out how to attack those patterns.

Can't believe the borderline for D3 is so high.
I'm completely safe with a 11-0-0-1.

Just means we aren't going to have a really tight competition until around round 4-5

Cutoff predictions! Let's see if I'm right in a week.

With the weird gallops, I don't think D1 will see too many AAAs. Maybe 6 or so. Expecting a 15 goods cutoff, thereabouts.
D2 is going to have it rough. Only 5 AAAs, but the cutoff will be around 9 goods.
D3 has it rather easy this round. Expecting a good amount of AAAs and a 4 goods cutoff.
D4 is going to have less than 6 AAAs I think. The file is short, but easy to derp on. Cutoff will be... 6-1-0-1.
Wow, D5 is going to be AAA or die for sure. Possibly a blackflag cutoff if people are lazy.
D6 is harder for me to call. I'm going with at least 11 AAAs if not more, but a 4 goods cutoff.

Calling D3 isn't going to have much of a cut off at all, a lot of people can't pa fast enough to hit those 24ths, and the trills at the beginning are annoying as ****.

I kind of disagree with this prediction. Being in D1 and actually having to play the song (1st to AAA this round too !) I felt the round was severely easier. The gallops are where I scored my goods the first and second try, but the third try I just kind of danced along in my seat and got it perfectly.

If you can get into the rhythm of things, then the D1 song is really fair. However, at this point the people in D1 either can PA songs, or can't. So those of us who can for the most part should get the AAA. Those of us who can't are probably going to weigh the cutoff down, so I can't disagree on the 15 goods prediction.


Also, being in D1 I don't really know a lot of the players, but did some spying on those in my division as most would do. So I may be able to give a slightly accurate prediction for the temper mental division.
