Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
I don't know if it's just me, but this round's songs are MUCH easier to do. Both of these are sightreads that I quite literally just did.

Edit~
Aaaaand done.

Edit 2~
Forgot about the timestamp rule, I'll make sure I include that from now on.Last edited by ScarletSky; 10-1-2011, 02:25 PM.Comment

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
As usual, I played all the files. So much fun seeing what other people made!
Good, clean, beginner-level fun. Classic DDR. Bonus points for left and right arrows when they say "left" and "right" XD
10/10 perfect D1 file.

Another great beginner file. The rolls were tricky, though I got my good on the first 24th burst- totally not ready for that. Definitely can see D1 difficulty ramping up.
10/10 fun rhythms and generally excellent.

Aww, why is everyone hating on this song? It's cute! I like it. The steps had a great flow and went with the song well. Some tricky jump patterns but not overboard.
No idea why I had so much trouble PAing it- maybe I'd play around with the offset if this was my division's file.
10/10 good flow and felt nice.

Very strange song. The beginning felt empty. The patterns were somewhat inconsistent, too. The hardest part was definitely the long trills. Though they fit well, their length makes them difficult. I dropped all my goods on the trills.
8/10 just didn't really impress me. Certainly not badly stepped but felt like it could have been more consistent.

This file is difficult for me. Extremely interesting 16th rhythms throughout. I got my average and boo on a tough left-handed pattern near the beginning.
Many of the patterns were technically correct but felt awkward to me- perhaps I'm not skilled enough to properly appreciate this file.
9/10 definitely not my style but I acknowledge it is well stepped and certainly will appeal to some people.

A lot more my style. Very nice jumpstream patterns and the rolls were well used. I feel like I could even AAA this- I got 2 goods and the boo within the first 10 arrows and just kept going.
10/10 I could complain about this being rather generic Touhou file, but it wouldn't change that fact this is very fun and well stepped.

Wow what can I say about this? I love this type of music, and the file has nifty rhythms, well-used hands, excellent solos, interesting patterns... I wish D3 got this file! haha
11/10 favorite file of the tournament so far. Definitely one I will return to the DF engine to play.

Interesting file. Jacks almost caught me off guard, but I thought they were appropriate and fun. Randomly missed on the second roll- I could FC this easily. The rolls were long, making it hard for me to PA, but they were definitely well-used too. The jumpstream flowed well but was repetitive after a while and noticeably right-hand biased. People in this division should definitely consider mirror if the JS is a problem. The ending JS spam was not too rough but definitely a hard spot.
9/10 overall very fun. Seemed to be missing that something special though, and was a little repetitive in the jumpstreams.

Missed in the slow 1-handed trill at the end of the 24ths >_> I could FC this in a few tries for sure. The sync felt excellent and the streams flowed well enough. That wall of white arrows seemed a little unnecessary, got many of my boos there. Getting very close to the point where I'm not skilled enough to offer a meaningful review.
10/10 definitely a good file, I might return to play this some more as well.

Missed once in a the repeating part with tough 1-handed patterns and once again in the long 24th trill. Had to mash the right-handed 24th trill and the 24th spam at the end. Surprised I managed 2 CBs, I don't think I could FC this without serious mashing. While I can say the sync work in the beginning felt good and many of the patterns flowed well enough for me to be able to do them, I don't feel like I could give this file a fair review- this is really the point where things are out of my league.

EDIT- also sent AJ and Kayla a message about a spon con file. I really hope you guys understand... >_<Last edited by hi19hi19; 10-1-2011, 03:38 PM.Comment

I keep getting 2 random goods in Captain Jack, each time in a different place, and the grace notes and jumps in windfall island is killing me, it's like I can't hit two keys at the same time. >_< I'm hoping to submit a better score by the end of the round, but I don't think that's going to happen. :PAMA: http://ask.fm/benguino

Welp unless I pull a Miracle run on both charts tomorrow I'm gonna lose.
Cool.
Edit: Oh a miracle run

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
Why don't you just try adobe flash player 9Comment

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #6
Because 8 is the one everyone says works.
On another note: Good luck D3A. There's no way in hell I'm AAAing these charts. It's not that they're bad charts, the patterns are just... Disgusting as shit. Add on flashplayer crashes.
It's not really worth trying again.Comment

Flash 9 is the one I've heard from everyone that works. I use it as well.Because 8 is the one everyone says works.
