Makes sense. I'll give doran's ring/chalice a try. It seems like it's probably a better combination.

Like you said, it depends on playstyle. When I play heim, I prefer to duo lane because of my aura. It makes a significant difference early game, especially a conservatively played game. I don't get the deathcap because I think the increased damage the deathcap would give me is not as helpful as the benefits the auras give my team. In a team fight, I'm more useful for my crowd control with rockets slowing opponents from rylai's and my ult making my turrets slow more guys. Then I activate zhonya's. If the fight is still going I pop rockets again and usually have to flash away from attackers, if any are left. When they chase, my teammates finish the fight. Heim, even with a deathcap, does not do crazy enough damage (in my opinion) to warrant building him to maximize damage. I prefer to focus on what makes him good, auras and crowd control.

buuuuuuuuuut I freely admit that I'm still learning this game. I'm only level 25 and I don't play a lot of pvp. The LoL community makes me gag.

Jungle Karthus is insanely viable. He clears super fast without much harm to himself, he doesn't need red because he uses his wall in ganks, and he can just gank all the time due to low mana costs and good damage output.

Has anyone tested Anivia in Dom? I am going to give her some runs this weekend.

@ the LoL community: yeah they're a load of pricks.. sometimes you get in a match where its finally silent. but almost every match i've played i've just read "oh bro u suck" to when i lost a killing spree and its a first death. then when our team is winning they make up some stupid excuse like, "our team is nub". worst part is losing against one of those people. lately i put the entire other team on ignore right when i see it start up

biggest thing that makes me laugh is when a guy tells me to "stop being a pussy and running away" when its a 3v1...... or when someone says "you couldnt 1v1 me so you 3v1/4v1/2v1/5v1 me". i'm sorry but i don't think LoL is all about 1v1'ing the enemy

edit: and karthus jungle would be dumb b/c of what minaciousgrace just said. or even going up against an udyr jungle

well here's what I've noticed

in general, the people who complain or bitch like that are those who are really bad at the game, because they have a distorted view of it. they either can't strategize properly, have anger issues, or refuse to listen to other people due to ego or something

once you play enough games and get better than them, you'll very rarely ever play with them again. excluding times where I've queue'd with someone much lower level than me, I haven't come across any baddies with big mouths in the past several months. you can say that the community is bad, but I'm pretty sure it's only a very small fraction of them. beat them and make them scream and holler and you'll never see them again

I don't see what you're arguing. Cho and Heim used their great support to allow the carries to destroy the enemy team. The missiles did respectable damage to squishy carries, but that difference in damage makes no difference once they're slowed and your vayne is wrecking them.

Not to mention the winning team had the other team out-leveled and had baron buffs.

He had the AP enough to rape the team without a deathcap. You zone people like a mother****er with those rockets and when you have Deathcap, gg.

Have had some great success with her holding top or bottom. It's very hard to take a tower from a good anivia player, especially with some support.

Singed is great but he's tough if the opposing team is playing smart (i.e. taking the windmill and just playing passively). The problem being, he doesn't have the burst to do anything to someone sitting on a tower. As such, you really need some cooperation from your team, and or a stupid enemy team.


Right now I really like GP. He's pretty well rounded on this map. Nocturne is also great, as his ult wrecks and he snowballs so hard it's not even funny (though, if you get denied hard early on it can be rough going).


My Q: Are any of the new summoner abilities worth it? I've been running flash and ghost almost exclusively so far.
