Head over to the FFR Batch Forum for all the details on how you can get your file into the game. The Artist Permissions forum section will help you find out if FFR has permission to use the song your file goes with.
Re: FFR Community Pack Autumn 2011 (Submissions Open)
Jo (leonid) Standard
- Despite being a simplified version, this chart flows way better than the heavy chart, lol. Yes Heavy
- Oh god those polyrhythms are going to make everyone rage, rofl.
- Typical leonid hard file. Difficult to score on, not so much enjoyable to play for most people. Pack needs some harder files anyways. Yes
Bokura no 16Bit Wars (Kommisar) Heavy
- Tough index file. Really fun though. Yes Oni
- No real commentary. Fantastic layering, difficult, and really, really fun. YES
Schwarz (Diokatsu) Standard
- Could've been more simpler in layering. A lot of jump usages were still very dense and close to the Heavy chart.
- Layering transitions were sloppy but I guess it's hard to do transitioning well when you're simplifying, lol. Yes Heavy
- Jump usages are a little hard to follow at times.
- 32nds and coloured notes are also a bit weird to follow.
- Using half the BPM was a weird choice but whatever it doesn't really matter.
- Layering's passable. I didn't find the file as climactic as the song itself in the later half which is the downside. Yes
Yuriyurarara a Yuru Yuri Daijken (Kommisar)
Worst song choice so far (o: Heavy
- Good as a pad/index file though who in their right mind would play this on pad, rofl. Yes Oni
- Colour vocal gimmicks were a nice touch. It's not as chaotic as like IOSYS songs though so idk if this was really that necessary for an aNiMe theme. Yes
Alien Temple (moches) Standard
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Heavy
- Ending will probably give people trouble.
- Typical moches file. Still got it :') Yes
Croqel Part III (moches)
- I can accept this as is. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and won't ask you for an easier chart unless you have the time to make one. I'm being unfair to everyone else probably but this file will be an exception due to various reasons. Yes
Croqel (moches)
- With all honesty, you should just release this as a single for people to download rather than throw this into a pack, like the medleys leonid has stepped. No because you should release this as a single
Spaceman (Kommisar) Heavy
- Good as an easier chart and index file. Yes Oni
- No real commentary. Layering is awesome and file's really fun. Yes
Louder [Doctor P & Flux Pavilion Remix] (megamon88) Standard
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Heavy
- Same chart with no mines. Passable since mines are tough in the oni chart. Yes Oni
- Holds could be trimmed shorter to decrease the amount of visual density you're presented with, especially with all the mines.
- Mines are also dangerously close to the ends of holds making mine dodging tough. It's passable though since it gives the file a scoring factor and there aren't any mine field files in the pack yet.
- Layering is awesome. Fun file as a whole. Yes
The Dark (xVaLoRx) Heavy
- Good as an easier chart and pad/index chart though it's inconsistent seeing as though this has holds while the other chart doesn't. Get your oni chart sorted out. Oni
- 64ths are a HUGE difficulty spikes, especially since the layering in this file is very minimalistic and underlayered as a whole. Simplify them.
- As I mentioned, file's very minimalistic, which isn't a bad choice but there are a lot of things in the song that would be interesting to layer which would also improve the file's flow (bass hits, background noise elements, etc.).
- File plays out like it's stepped for FFR. There are 0 holds, hands or mines in this which really detracts from the file's interest and replayability as a whole. Tons of opportunity to dump holds and mines in this song that would also make it more suitable for a pack like this.
- Thoroughly layer more. Experiment with holds, hands, and mines. No
Mannequin Religion (condoct) Heavy
- Good as an easier chart. Get your Oni chart sorted out. Yes Oni
- Beat 9, one handed 24th trills are pushing it in terms of pattern flow. At this speed, it's not too much of a problem though I'd still advise against it.
- Freezes that go to cymbals/hihats should be trimmed shorter. Decreases visual density in the file, making it not look and play awkward.
- Also to add onto the whole freezes for hihats, you're layering guitar rifts and hihats with the same length holds. That makes it tough to follow what they even go to since you're not differentiating the instruments.
- Beat 170.5 & 178.5, 32nd one handed trills are too much. Change to a pattern that's two handed oriented.
- M72~75 a lack of jump usages for prominent guitar rifts?
- M106 to ending, pattern is really awkward to hit. Shorten length of the holds on the [3] jack or remove the holds all together for a better transition into the 24ths that come after. Shift the 24th and 32nd patterns around so that the majority of the notes don't sit on [2][3] since this pattern is very trill oriented. Two hand oriented patterns are preferred.
- Layering is passable. You were missing a few jump placements here and there to keep your layering more consistent. I was surprised you were able to step this song pretty well actually, lol. Fix up my small notes and this'll be good to go. Maybe
posts updated. file queue is at 19 files. I removed one of my files to make room.
Re: FFR Community Pack Autumn 2011 (Submissions Open)
Wow, I'm surprised I was even able to get a pass considering how I havn't stepped seriously in almost two whole years. I'll get to fixing up some of the mistakes in the oni chart. :O)
