Re: FFR Community Pack Autumn 2011 (Submissions Open)
BlippBlipp (rparty89) Standard
- Almost everything mentioned for the Heavy chart can be applied here. There's not much of a different between this chart and Heavy with all honesty, the density is still the same just without as many holds. No Heavy
- M9+ a bit too overexaggerated with the jump usages. I see what you're aiming for but this entire measure is pretty dense and inconsistent with the measures leading in and out of it which are underlayered in contrast.
- M17+ very underlayered and sloppy layering transition from the aforementioned jump section. Layer bass jumps for better flow.
- M25+ a complete lack of pitch relevancy. This entire section doesn't FEEL like it's going to the music itself.
- M33-34, jumps feel overemphasized and overlayered which there's nothing but the main melody.
- M34+ same deal as M9+
- M42+ same deal as M17+
- M74+ another full on section with a complete lack of pitch relevancy. Steps don't even feel relevant to the music.
- Skimmed through and the rest of the file is basically the above notes mentioned.
- Layering isn't all that bad, the only problem is the layering transitions used and the sections that feel irrelevant to the song. No
Kero Destiny (Niko) Standard
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Heavy
- Basically Oni without the mines. Thought this could've been more simplified but I guess this is passable. Yes Oni
- Mines are tricky when file becomes dense.
- I personally found some transitions into rainbow vocals a bit iffy but they're fine otherwise.
- Great file. Awesome layering and very fun. Yes
Distant Folklore Song (Yesssss) Light
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Standard
- Great as an easier chart for Heavy. Definitely a good way to introduce the difficulty for both charts. Yes Heavy
- Haha oh wow those 32nds are definitely tough, but aren't too bad to hit with the right fingerspeed.
- No real commentary. Definitely a unique file I don't see often. Layering's great and file's enjoyable as a whole. Yes
Adventure Tune (Scintill) Light
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Standard
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Heavy
- VERY DANGER MINES.
- No real commentary. Short and interesting file. I smiled playing through it. Yes
Piano Concerto No. 666 ~ Jealousy Fire (Gpop) Beginner
- Fill in the light & standard difficulties and this will be good as an easier chart. The gap between this and the main chart is obviously too large. Heavy
- M8+ a few piano chord jumps are missing if you want to consistently follow it.
- Beat 99+ holds could be trimmed shorter in length to avoid awkward holdstreaming patterns.
- M46+ same deal about a few piano chord jump placements missing if you want to be consistent with the layering.
- Layering is great and patterns flowed well. File's enjoyable and fun as a whole. Yes
Battle Against a Dangerous Bloomers (Kommisar)
- Typical Kommi MAD file. I cracked up playing this.
- Needs easier difficulties and this'll be good to go for the pack. Pending
RPG (Yume)
FFFFFFFFFFFF YOU BEAT ME TO STEPPING THE SONG Light
- M60+ the transition in and out of the rainbow notes is funky and a little tricky to get a hang of without playing the files a couple of times.
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Standard
- M60+ the transition in and out of the rainbow notes is funky and a little tricky to get a hang of without playing the files a couple of times.
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Heavy
- Holds could be trimmed shorter in length to avoid awkward holdstreaming patterns, but it's passable since your files typically have dense holds like this anyways.
- M60+ the transition in and out of the rainbow notes is funky and a little tricky to get a hang of without playing the files a couple of times.
- Last 3 notes I would personally just change them to mine placements. Keeping the notes there will surprise most people thinking that the file ends at Beat 250 and they'd end up missing the notes completely, lol.
- Layering is great and went well with the song. File's enjoyable and fun to play although it's no surprise that I would've personally stepped this song differently, haha. Yes
INITIATIVE (Yume) Light
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Standard
- The sections where you placed the 48th bursts in the heavy chart you could've placed either 16ths or even 24ths to signify that you're gonig to be layering those sections much more intensely.
- Good as an easier chart. Yes Heavy
- M9, 48th burst is a nasty difficulty spike. I would simplify them to 32nds for better flow.
- M36, same deal about the 48th burst.
- Layering is great. Tweaking the 48th bursts is recommended. Yes
Last Regrets -Be Vivid Remix- (Detrimentalist & Wineandbread)
#1 song choice Beginner
- M9+ I told you this already over IRC but yeah I would personally just keep layering and drop the whole 192nd usage here. 192nds don't serve much of a purpose here other than to differentiate layering.
- Now this is the thorough layering job that Wine's chart was lacking.
- Layering is awesome and patterns flow well. File's enjoyable and fun. Yes Heavy
- Minimalistic but still can be tough to score on with the minijacks . Layering is awesome and patterns flow well. File's enjoyable and fun. Yes
