Raw is your score before combo is factored in, so in other words, the score that shows up at the bottom of your screen while you play.

Can I make a suggestion?

Rather than the raw score for the challenge being based on your actual score and the challenge score, I think it should be subtracted for your cumulative raw score.

For example, you ask for a clean run on Excite Bike and a 3-0-0-0 on Excite Bike.

If someone submits 2 1,600 scores, they get their raw score of 1,600 and they get 75 subtracted for being 75 off the target score. Likewise, if someone got an AAA and a 3-0-0-0 they'd receive 1,600 total points.

Just how I'd do it, feel free to keep it this way, it just seems a little confusing that I could (presumably, from your post) get a 1,525 with an AAA or a 1,575 with a BF, which is a 2 good score difference despite the actual 1 good difference.

You wouldn't get 1,575 with a BF if I asked for 3-0-0-0. You'd receive 1,550. And you don't get the same song twice in the same round, so you wouldn't have to AAA EB and get 3-0-0-0 on it.

EDIT: I do like your suggestion, I did think about using it, but I just decided against it. It was a very good one though.

What I was saying was that I thought you'd simply inverted the AAA and target scores, rather than weighing it based on the score. All I'm saying is, if I'm aiming for a 3-0-0-0, a BF should be the same as a 5-0-0-0, both of which should be higher than an AAA/6-0-0-0.

A BF is equal to 5-0-0-0 in this scenario, yes. (When I ask for a specific score)


Also remember, there is no longer eliminations, so don't worry if you don't have the best score the first round.

EDIT: You can still join the tourney! You'll be allowed to enter until the end of Round 1.

I'm gonna be away August 6th - August 13th, by the way, in case I didn't mention it. q_q

I might request to be moved down, not sure yet. Got a sightread 36-1-1-6 on Bury The Hatchet with Mirror, but my arms are pretty crappy today, so it might be that. (the miss was lag.)

Keep me in D3 for now, I'll post some crappy scores soon.

EDIT: I'll stay where I am, upped this to a 16-1-1-0, which I'll post now. Will get other score and improve another day.

I think you'll do fine in D3. 16-1-1-0 isn't a bad score at all, since we're basing this off raw score instead of LOLCOMBOSCORING.
