DO NOT GO TO SEASIDE. ew. its nasty as hell there. long branch is a nice beach location in NJ and sandy hook isnt too bad. lots of hotel rooms open at sandy hook also because it used to be really shitty but they have been cleaning it up

I liked Seaside when I went a few years ago. Altho it's probably crap now thanks to that pos show.

I wouldn't mind going out to NYC during this excursion too. Apparently the hotel near 8otb has transportation to a train to NYC. Debating on making a day out of it as well

I can easily make it to 8otb and NYC. It's almost common knowledge that I'm like right next to Rubix and Robbie. :V

*edit* Also, if anyone's willing to take a train for a really long time, there's Peter Pan Games out in Bayside, Queens. They don't have ITG but they do have Supernova, Pump, and IIDX 13. It's the only NYC venue I can think of with IIDX.

The problem with being in NYC proper is that its going to cost people just to get there and move around, not counting gas if you drive. To hell with the city. Best to have it branch out to NJ, though I'm not big on the current suggestions. (I find driving around, even with a GPS, to be a chore in unfamiliar land in Jersey.) I say you guys should have had Philly in that poll, but even I have to admit that most of the East FFR group is in the New England area.

And as a side note, seeing concepts of north jersey being friendly for PA people, I disagree because of the layout of rails and roads.

Oh well. Two cents answered. My position in southeast PA makes me a minority person.

Look it up on Mapquest, it's fairly easy to find. I highly doubt you're more than an hour away.

I should bother Sprite- and tell him to make it out here too; then you can car-pool with him.

Being that 8otB seems like the venue of choice, I'm going to start looking for other attractions around the area so that we can organize as a group and head to different places together.

Being that it's summertime it doesn't really matter to me how many days we do. I figure the people that come from further out may stay out in Jersey longer and those that are in Jersey may only want to be around for the weekend. So it may be nice to know of what's around so if people do stay longer they have stuff to do. Luckly this is months away yet so we have plenty of time to plan and figure out who's coming and for how long and such.

I've only been negative towards people who have said things that had elements of demonstrable falsifiability -- which is the entire thrust behind my "Rubixian troll persona." But it's all fake and not meant to be taken seriously, so apologies if you took it personally.
