Re: Limewire sued for $25Trillion
lolzorz. Thing is, people tend to only illegally download things from companies who can AFFORD to lose some business. The music business is CHANGING, and people with music popular enough to be widely stolen are doing fine financially. This will go nowhere. That's right, the music industry wants LimeWire to pay more money than exists in the entire world.HIGH-FIVING A MILLION ANGELS!

Re: Limewire sued for $25Trillion
I think the music industry has to change the way they deal business with music, as opposed to sueing every music downloading site. The industry's dealing with an uphill battle if they try to force the same sort of business practice. Sueing 25 trillion is a meaningless cause and is comparable to a child whining about something he or she can't get back. Music downloading is not some sort of outlawed practice, but is just part of the technologically evolutionary trend of exchanging information more easily. It's a much bigger thing than a few large companies wanting their own little ways - it's a movement, and you can't stop that.Last edited by bmah; 04-5-2011, 06:22 PM.Comment

Re: Limewire sued for $25Trillion
Agree absolutely. Plus, this kind of behavior does not exactly make me want to pick up the latest major pop single.
Also, for context of how ridiculous this number is, the world GDP is the total value of all final goods and services produced anywhere in the world for a year. And they're asking more than that.Last edited by qqwref; 04-5-2011, 06:05 PM.Best AAA: Policy In The Sky [Oni] (81)

Re: Limewire sued for $25Trillion
I don't agree with pirating music/software (although I do it myself all the time), Limewire really isn't in the wrong here IMO. Limewire is just an application to share any data from any PC. Just because people use it in illegal ways doesn't mean the software developer has to be held reliable. It's like if somebody sued the developer of a port scanning application because somebody used it for the illegal purpose of hacking.Comment

wow im loling so hard right now

Originally posted by LeKrispyKremeRap music is music. However, It's not in the traditional sense of how we understand music. The vocals are filled with slangs that gangs used since the 70s and a lot of the instrumentations are replaced with "Street Sounds" instead of traditional instruments. Music is defined as any combination of sounds that is pleasing to the ear, so while one person may find it as "noise" another person can find it pleasing to the ear and so call "vibe" with it as how I think the kids would say it these days.Comment
