FFR is not like any other game most are usually playing. This isnt a game where you play it and can walk through and complete it in like 3 hours or a day. This is a rhythm game, the more songs to play is usually better. A new player doesnt even have to worry about playing all the songs because you sure as hell know they arent going to be playing all the songs based on their skill when they start.

It becomes "too many songs" for some people when there are too many files you don't particularly enjoy and becomes a chore to AAA/FC. Like how attempting to AAA blue note files is more of a drag rather than it is fun(just an example).

But of course we should still get new songs on a regular basis IMO, there will come a time where the game will eventually die(even if it takes a couple years) if no new songs are released; old players would quit sooner or later if there is no new content, same with MMORPGS.

I'm not exactly sure if my rank really does drop the more I play, I mean, the more songs I play on average, my average rank goes higher instead of lower... Can anyone explain this? I even AAA many songs but it goes from 5k->6k

Only people playing for ranks tend to hate long songs. There are people who actually play this game for fun and to listen to new music that dont mind them.

I actually play for both but I mostly hate 3:30 + songs. Pain to AAA and most of them aren't that great to listen to.

I've had a problem with the song quantity for a while now. Not especially the shear number of files put into the game, but the fact that a lot of the newer files are so much worse then the old files.

(Exclude the historical songs for a moment) what song that's been addded recently feels like it flows to the heart of the song. Halogen is a good example of this. It's one of my favorite files because the stepchart flows so well with the music. It's difficulty is irrelevant.

I haven't played one song from any of the recent batches that equates even close to songs like Halogen, Szamar Madar, Turbulence or Nova Pulsar. (granted I haven't played them all)

Well then that depends on what you think is a "good" file, or more specifically, what you consider "good flow". Personally, I thought Nova Pulsar is a half abomination - flow included, but that's just me.
