Loose aggressive can be a profitable playing style, so it's not a big deal. You just don't want to be a passive player.

I'd say playing tight aggro is more profitable at the lower stakes, mostly because there are more passive players, but against better players, loose aggro is as profitable or more so than playing tight aggro.

Ran one of the weirdest sessions I've ever played lately. Played only some 1000ish hands of 0.25/0.5, ring + rush, and went from being up like 300 to down over 500 to ending about down 100.

Won a ~200 dollar pot near the end of the session, set over set over set on the flop, which helps my deficit a lot, but just earlier I was getting coolered pretty hard for 3/4 of the session, since the +300 to -500 happened via nearly continuous losses. I should have lost more, actually, like three times people checked hands that should have stacked me after sucking out (turn/river trips or stuff against overpairs)


That session just about gave me a heart attack, so I think I'll play some play money for the next little bit 8) Goooooo home games.

ya.... dropped 500 the other night. trips over trips two hands in a row, i had K7s against KQo flop KQ4 turn K after flop AA4 turn 9 river K i had A8 or something. got off cheap tho in both but still sucks

raised the button to $7 total with 79clubs 5 handed $1/2. flop 8JK, bb (only caller, nit....) leads out $10 i call, turn Tclubs puts the 8 and ten of clubs and gives me a straight. he bets $11 i raise $30 more, he ships it Instantly and i snap call he shows Ace ****ing King

I usually don't complain, but in that session I fired on all of my straight and flush draws, and the only draw I made the entire 1062 hand session was a straight draw on the turn, which got stacked when villain hit a backdoor flush on the river. lol

There was also some guy that was playing obnoxiously bad the entire session, but stacked me 3 or 4 times with suckouts, as well as other people, and he had a huge stack. In the last big pot with him, I raised his limp 3x on the button with KQ, only he calls. Flop K84, he check calls my bet. Turn K84Q, he check calls again. River K84QA, he shoves out of position over 3x the pot. I'm not actually sure what the best line to take in this spot is given I know this guy is an idiot, but I call and he shows A8.

I might have folded to other players, but earlier he jammed a pot against me with middle pair and only like 9%, but hit the river. Among other things, like 4 betting me OOP with K2 and beating my AK.




Also, Omaha = lol. I played some sessions today for fun, ran up a good amount and then lost it all.

In no other game can you run QQ on Q88 board into someone with 88 twice in the same like 200 hand session.



Anyone watch Isildur play? God damn retard was up over 700k earlier tonight. Most of it seemed to be from scott palmer. He's still up about 200k, but is donating pretty much all of his wins to gavz. I'm sure he doesn't mind though. It's nice to become a millionaire overnight.

It's really irritating. I can't stand omaha, really. At least, not for real money. It always feels like gambling. The variance is simply way too high.

It's irritating when, every time you hit a set, your villain has a higher set. Hit a king high flush? Villain has an ace high flush. Hit the nut straight on the turn? Doesn't matter; villain has a set and a flush draw and massive equity to hit the river.


The only positive to omaha whatsoever is that, since the edges are small and the variance is high, fish can perceive themselves to be better than they actually are, meaning it's easy to get action from profitable players.



PS canada? Don't come to halifax. casino here is pretty shitty. Can get pretty good action in montreal though.


PPS: isildur confirmed to have screws loose. he ended up down over 700k, after being up more than 700k. WTF

I've been playing some 1/2 live lately rather than online. I was tempted actually to move up to 2/4 because it was really whale heavy lately, but figured I would play better sitting 1/2.

Won pretty huge. This lady and her husband were really drunk and were seriously donating my way. When they first sat down she sucked out bad on the river, told her nice hand, great play. Later I picked up AK and popped her raise from the button, flop came like AKQ or something, she called me down three streets in a row with QT. She proceeded to rebuy and bust like 6 more times, and her husband busted a bunch as well. A lot of it went my way.



Anyone watch HSP season 7? The hand between Viffer and Ruffin? Lmao @ Antonio/Green/Brunson telling him it was a great hand. They know how to sing the whale song.

Even Viffer could smell the free money.

Plus croak making the worst fold I've ever seen on HSP.

It was actually a very good spot for a shove, because there's a lot of stuff ruffin can have that he'll stack off with that won't beat you. Shoving is definitely the best option in this spot, because realistically, the only hand ruffin would ever show up with in a spot like that which can beat you is T9 suited. Otherwise, he's probably betting a set or a straight, and because backdoor flushes here are really, really underrepped, he's probably calling you with both of those.

But even if you're a noob that can't put the hand together, you still have to call him with a backdoor flush. Folding is just lmao.
