But yeah, I agree that the comment system is pretty BS as well as broken. When it first came out, I experimented with it for a bit. I have an on-board mouse on my laptop as well as a USB mouse that I can click simultaneously and very quickly. On a well timed clicking spree of the down vote link, I can get 5 or 6 clicks in a few tenths of a second instantly dropping a comment below the viewing threshold. Just nuke the comment system. It's pointless because you can still express your appreciation or disdain for someone's comment or opinion by simply commenting instead of clicking like or dislike.

Did this get changed? I tried to post another comment on the main page post to clarify something for Velocity, but it said I was posting too fast. Honestly is it that big of a deal that we have to restrict it?

Yes, spamming is an issue at times. At this point, the only solution is a compromise for people that actually post meaningful things at quick rates.

Well, when I originally made this thread, spamming was really insane. When people say "what problem?", keep in mind that the frequency of spamming occurrences vary. Right now, it's not so bad. The comment spamming in some of the posted videos were pretty much a one-time occurrence, unless someone is stupid enough to do that again.

I still support a thumbs up system for those who support a comment or video, without any of the negatives. So if the comment sucks, there will be few if any votes. If someone commented on something awesome, the votes will show. This is better than if votes go both ways (positive or negative).
