Necrobump.

Just to fill you guys in on something I'm doing. I'm making a real game with some classmates to sell on iPad, iPhone and iTouch. It's gonna be good. I'm gonna be the lead animator and I'll do a few odd jobs (concept art, level design, etc.). I'm still learning, but I'm pretty good at it.

I hope this statement isn't based on the animation you showed in the previous post...not to put you down in ANY sort of way, because I love seeing aspiring 3D artists here, but you've got a really long way to go.

I recommend studying up on animation techniques, watch some Disney movies, LEARN SECONDARY MOTION PRINCIPLES, they are what drive your characters and is what gives them a believable and lifelike property in motion.

I'm interested in hearing what kind of game you're looking to create though, as I'm beginning to get into iOS development as well.

Oh I'm not basing my "I'm good at it" from that animation. I'm mostly basing it from the fact that I'm the best animator in my class, but everyone has trouble with it, so it doesn't say much. I am planning on learning a lot more. I even got the animator's survival kit (pdf of book and videos). Don't worry, I'm improving. My animation for 1st semester was a real cool guy but never gave much criticism, but my new teacher is a lot better at teaching.

As for the game, it's still a secret for now, but we will be advertising as much as possible at some point. We're still at the early stages so it won't be for a while.
