Kommi what I suggest is that you let everyone play until the very end so that you can throw comparison rankings (for total accumulated DDP) for everyone (if you're up for it), as long as the number of players stays somewhere under 32. <

Just to give them an incentive to keep playing if they want, even after elimination

I feel like there's still too much of a skill gap regardless of the division count. Even with split divisions there is going to be a few people in the top division that are going to dominate regardless, and people have to get lucky to be put into the second division if you're mid tier (or you can flim flam some scores and alter your division) or else they'll just sit in top division and get wrecked anyway OR wreck some shit in the lower division

As far as I can tell, no one recently is posting bs scores, so legitimacy is all around. Anyone that used to bs (hehehe) has also proven that they're legit now, so I think we'll be fine.

Made a list of everyone that's signed up to help Kommi keep track of registrations. There are currently 30 participants. If Kommi is serious about keeping the limit to 16 players, the first block of users are the ones who have been guaranteed a spot based on a first come, first serve basis. It might be necessary to host some qualifier rounds or something to lower the number down unless he'll expand the number to 32.

But Wineandbread has a very good idea that can be applied to the tourney. Currently discussing tourney structure and plans with Kommi over texts. I'm probably going to help him out with organizing and picking out song choices.

For those who want to donate credits, feel free to do so. 100% of the credits will be given away as prizes. Winner will also receive an op from yours truly just cuz I can. Read op for info on dates etc.


Here's my idea for the tourney:

2 songs each round. Ma file and Scoring file. Every player stays in up until the end. Points are accumulated each round and people have a chance to move up etc rather than have all previous points dumped fresh each round. This way we can have more suspense and opportunity for others to catch up, and for everyone to play. HOWEVER, if you fail to submit your scores, you get eliminated indefinitely. Sound good?

Added regular season info and new PLAYOFFS section once the regular 8 round season is over. If this goes well, I may incorporate something like this for a more permanent stepmania league later on.
