Don't forget that SK has a lot more allies than NK does. At this point it stands to reason that Russia does not approve of this violence, and I wouldn't be surprised if China were to follow suit.

I was going to say the same thing. South koreas personal military isn't* the only factor when the rest of the worlds super powers are behind you.
probably just a show of power to the west to show that the new leader isn't a pushover, because we all know what the west does to weak countries it rapes them of resources lol
North Korea, from time to time, likes to remind the world that they exist by rattling their sabers and picking on whoever they can. It's almost trollesque. If they ever tried to seriously take South Korea on in an all-out war, it'd be quite a bit drain on SK + allies, but NK would pretty much cease to exist.
North Korea has been doing this for a long time. They know they'd get wiped out if they tried to pull anything serious. All they do is occasionally stir the pot. They're more annoying, than anything.
