Because they gave me the car, hence why they can take it back if I **** up their insurance. Going to college in January.

Don't appeal for the sole reason that he got your information wrong, here in California they even have a big poster in the front of the courtroom stating that it doesn't matter what information the officer got wrong, he still gave YOU the ticket, and YOU signed it which means you acknowledged that the information written was correct, so it becomes less of his problem and more of your problem.

Tickets are beyond ****ing expensive these days.

A few months ago, my dad got a 400$ ticket for apparently running a red light, and it was caught by one of those traffic cameras, if you beat the yellow, and it turns red, you're gone.

The worst part is the mailing part, it's like a gut shot, especially if you didn't even know you got caught by the camera.

I'd fight it.

And by the way the cop that you're dealing with sounds like an idiot lol

I did sign the ticket, but what the cop told me was the my signing of the ticket states that I understand my options. He didn't say anything about confirming the information on the ticket, but I suppose that's a given...

i was given a ticket back in the spring for "97 in a 55" at rush hour on the main highway thru the area, so i contested it because i was doing no more than 80 definatly, when i walked in the courtroom probably 80% of the people in the building were there to contest tickets from this officer, so when we talked about it before we went infront of the judge he didnt even take time to get my story and he instantly offered to drop it to 20 over instead of 40 over, point is sometimes just showing up the officer wil want things to end sooner and theyll give you a comprimise

I gotta two hundred dollar ticket for spinning out of control, I thought about appealing. I'm just lazy as hell, so I'm paying it. *shrug*
