Glitchy stuff going on with the PC version. Random jitters/fps drops. Seems to be happening with dual core CPUs (and less occasionally, some Quad/Hex).

Yeah, it's gotten so bad that I can't play for more than 20 minutes without my eyes watering.

I really hope this get fixed soon. The jitters aren't that bad on Single Player, so I was able to get through the single player campaign. Quite well written, to say the least.

I've been playing more and more, I'm starting to like the game little by little. Wager modes with friends keep me entertained. Almost level 35 now.

Uhm, there's a ****load of shooters with some great damn storylines, where the hell have you been. every play this little game called half life?

Excellent game, but still, IMO the plot wasn't as "deep" or full of "substance" like FF games. I personally don't really give half a **** about plots in video games though. If the gameplay isn't enough to make me want to play the game I probably shouldn't be wasting my time, however that's just my preference.

You are just thinking of the cods/halos stories since you obviously haven't played many shooters.

I don't know where you're getting this idea that I haven't played many shooters. I grew up on Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Only popular FPS I haven't really gotten into was CS.

on which FPS you are talking about, but there is a lot more than that when it comes to competitive first person shooters. You are correct about reflexes/battle senses being involved, but there's a bunch of others like strafing, teamwork, positioning, strategy, controlling power ups and power weapons, learning your personal job/position on the team, timing your shots, doing the objectives, etc.

I agree, however I think a game like Starcraft is more mentally taxing as it's more of a strategy game than an FPS, not saying an FPS doesn't require any strategy, I'm just saying Starcraft requires more while at the same time requires less reflexes although still requires some.

while starcraft is one of the most competitive rts games, there are a couple shooters that have some competition that is extremely close. take an rts that isn't as popular as starcraft, and it wouldn't even be able to stand up to a bunch of competitive fps's.

Agree'd, but that's just due to popularity and popularity alone I would think.

I know this, but am responding because you are trying to put rts games on a pedestal and delegitimize fps games, when there is some serious skill involved in some.

You're drawing assumptions from what I'm saying. Just because I say it's not easy to become a pro Starcraft player, doesn't mean I'm also saying it's easy to become a pro FPS player.

Funny to see that coming from an FF fan because it seems totally hypocritical. If you like FF games, what about FF VII? ****ty game play, great story. You shouldn't be comparing FF to first person shooters as well, both have their pros and cons.

P.s. The storyline for Black Ops was actually pretty good. The gameplay was also very good. What other first person shooter can you use like 10 different vehicles, 50 customized weapons and have a very f*cking challenging system?

Who cares about the story in COD7. I play for online multiplayer.

Just because the world has evolved and has become accustomed to everything multiplayer, does not mean all us old school players follow. I enjoy a good storyline behind a game. Besides, multiplayer is always filled with minus 10x sh*t versus the story mode.

Either you skipped the campaign OR you got it early. And anyways, prestige just shows that you've played way more.
