Re: Should drugs be illegal?
So much research is to find negative effects on the body/brain. What's up with a marginally less research on the positive effects? I posted earlier in the thread about MDMA which is pure E is basically. I have no problem with pure, but people start to mix Meth, TFMPP, BZP. ****'s not right. Cocaine, Meth, Acid, Bromo Dragonfly is all bad ****, and shouldn't be legal what so ever. I'm all for the legalization of any synthetic pot, Marijuana, Shrooms, Rolls.sigpicComment

Re: Should drugs be illegal?
i agree with a lot of what you said, minus the part about LSD. LSD isnt dangerous whatsoever, and has plenty of therapeutic psychiatric uses, and I cannot for the life of me understand why you would be in favor of the legalization of shrooms if you arent in favor of the legalization of LSD. js.So much research is to find negative effects on the body/brain. Re: Should drugs be illegal?
I feel inclined to say things about this. It took me a while to read all of those posts, and I have many things I would like to say. First thing is that I believe to an extent it should be "decriminalized," not legalized. Second thing is that, I agree with most people that the harder drugs should probably remain illegal, for that even if they were legal, there'll still be problems (or maybe even more). There are people who do drugs because it's illegal, and there are people who don't do drugs because it is illegal. However, there's also a factor that there are people who do stupid harmful things to themselves because it is legal e.g. smoking, drinking, caffeine overdose, OTC and Prescription abuse (this part is debatable).
I also want to comment on the fact that the reason alcohol will never become illegal is because there are already so many users, people will most definitely bootleg and abuse even more than they were before then. However, I think a possible solution to reducing abuse is to increase the drinking age, because our brains are not fully developed at 21, and I have doubts that people will start drinking more because of the increase of the age.
For those who think these drugs don't harm others, that's not true, it does in indirect ways sometimes. It's similar, in a way, to the debate about public smoking. The fact is that when you smoke in public, it's not about whether it's harmful to others or not... it's a matter of freedom. Anyway, I'll end there before I start super-rambling, and I'll come up with more things to say later.
edit: Also, about the gang thing, I doubt it will change much with gangs, because there are also a lot of gangs that form for the purpose of terrorism.Comment
