I found out that if you have a computer with Nvidia, go into your Nvidia control and drop the slider all the way to performance. That's why my MA boosted exponentially (see below)
Kinda cool, I've never FCed this (last time I played it was maybe a year ago lol). I can AAA this if I go into them trills right.
I've always been decent at this, but I've never AAA'd.

I swapped themes on Windows 7 (from Aero to Classic) 'cos apparently it makes FFR work better (which it did). Got bored 'cos I sucked at FFR so I tried playing SM and the MA/PA on Classic is insanely different to what I get on Aero (both run fairly smoothly...Classic is probably a bit more smooth, if anything)

Well I recently changed my settings on my windows 7 too, much like you did, from a recentish setting to the classic stuff. I noticed that stepmania ran smoother and thus I felt I was hitting a bit too early. I had to up my Cmod from 820 to 860 for me to play with the same comfort as before.
I also think the fact that this reduced lag from the computer also reduced the time lapse between hitting a key and the computer reading it, or something like that.
BTW second genocide MA is cool

Yeah, it definitely felt a tad slower using the same Cmod. I may up the Cmod and try playing on Classic...who knows. I'm so used to the Aero though...and I'm too lazy to change the Cmods around :P- Retired Stepman
