Yeah, according to a poll on Arch0wl.com, the majority of the people lived in MI. More than any other state--including Washington, Texas, California, and other big ones.
2.5 hours for me to troy...i'd definitely think about it...but i'm also one of the people who has never really played most of those games much...but i'd enjoy watching people who actually have some idea what they're doing...anybody have a house and cool parents for the possibility of some console fun as well? i'm assuming no...but it'd be fun
I'll trade you this delicious doorstop for your crummy old danish.
Done, and done.
For the parents who are wery of meeting those from the internet, tell them it's just a bemani tornament (Which in a sense, it is ), Thats why it spans 3 days
Anyway, I live in the Bloomfield Hills area. Must work on getting a driver's license...as soon as I get that out of the way (that, and achieve financial independence), I'd be happy to come and see just how badly I would get my ass kicked by people outside the Wayne State area. No, seriously, I would.

Well, if we're talking hotels and such, you could get one close to Ann Arbor or Westland. Westland is seriously three turns from AA and it doesn't even take half an hour to go between the two. If we were stuck to one arcade, I'd vote Pinball Pete's just for the downtown area. There's the Bubble Islands (bubble tea place) and Wizzy Wig's for you anime/gaming people and even a shop for comics/pen and paper gaming and that doesn't even count all the delicious, delicious food places.
Speaking of three-day tournaments in Michigan, what ever happened to the Midwest Showdown? Yeah, just tell your parents you are going to the Midwest Showdown and we'll even have a tournament if you guys want to. That's a good excuse.
And in case you haven't figured yet, I live close enough to attend this event.

I remember seeing that. Pinball petes owns but i would have to vote for troy afc. I can probably make it. I can take daceguy and jake if his parents say yes. this is going to be fun.
Just tell him that Pinball Pete's is ALMOST on his way to visit his in-laws. Then the next time he goes to visit them, we can abduct him in transit and bring him to Pete's.
And one time we bought batteries from the Safe Sex Store. It was the only place to get batteries for the digital camera late at night.

Pinball Pete's other than being AWESOME and BIG, is next to EVERYTHING.
It's like 10 minutes away from Zingerman's, Ann Arbor's only landmark type thing. It's a (now) exhorbitantly overpriced bakery. It's not even as good as it was, either. -_-
Also, as mentioned, Safe Sex store (self explanatory) and Middle Earth (It's like a toned-down safe sex store--really, a store that sells weird shit, like strobe skulls, and weird things).
The Underworld (it used to be below ground, but moved down the street, above ground :P) is a place for Warhammer, Magic, DnD, and Comic book enthousiasts. I love it. It even has tournaments for stuff, fairly frequently.
Wizzy Wig (or however that's spelled D:) is how nestle explained it.
Digital Ops (I think this is a few minutes away, but nonetheless awesome) is like a giant LAN place that sells Bawls. 'Nuff said.
Zap Zone (like 10-15 minutes away, in a car XD) is a laser tag place with guns that shoot stupidly fast. It takes almost no skill but is retardedly fun. It also a has a few arcade games (Hydro thunder [fuckin' fun!], and it USED to have Tekken 3 'til it broke), PLUS a DDR extreme machine.
Pizza House is like 2 blocks away. Order pizza, come back in like 30 minutes, and it is the best pizza in the world, according to everyone but myself. I prefer Faz's, but it's a bit of a drive. Still, pizza party!
There's an ATM by Pinball Pete's, if you were wondering.
And that is why it should spend at LEAST one day at Pinball Pete's.
