I see nothing wrong with being shallow.
If someone likes people primarily for their physical looks/money, what's the issue? It's only a problem if the person with looks/money wants to be valued for more than that.
But more generally, for me, someone could be really smart and nice, but it just isn't going to work if there's no physical/sexual chemistry.
I've been with smart girls that were cute, smart girls that were unattractive, unintelligent girls that were hot, and unintelligent girls that were unattractive (but were nice people). I've met girls online, and I've met girls in person. I've been with serious types and the immature types.
I've always gotten along better with smarter girls with a physical cuteness and sexual wild side -- with the ability to be either really serious or really funloving. Dumb girls eventually infuriate me and make me embarrassed to be around them. Unattractive girls make it hard for me to look forward to any sort of physical activity because it's simply not as exciting. Girls that are too serious bore me after a while, and girls who don't know *how* to be serious make communication difficult (and it usually makes me call their maturity into question). When there's a rift in communication, the girl and I usually wind up hating each other.
Luckily, my current girlfriend fits almost every one of my nitpicky metrics, and vice-versa.
It pays not to settle. But it also pays to be realistic.Comment

Something like this would be better to talk over AIM, private message, etc. rather than on this forum. He gave me a concise summary of what happened and it's understandable.
Going back to Rubix:
Some people get lured in by money, like you mentioned - this may be a problem because it's not actual love, it's just trying to get to that person so you can live a wealthy lifestyle. The most important thing is definitely to be realistic though. The first thing you need to understand is that you may find a female that fits most of your expectations, but still isn't quite perfect.
