I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm defending the community as a whole. I don't WANT to argue with you Chaz, I did enough of that a year+ ago, which begs me to ask, after a year, you still want to think of me as the same as I was before?

Again man, I just want to advise, give people a chance before calling them down. It's one thing to be intolerant but to be intolerant without a prior opportunity to prove oneself is just ludicrous.

I see FFR's revival as being a chance for everyone to start fresh, trust me, if you would open up a little and give people a chance you'll see some have changed, some haven't, make that deduction AFTER things have settled.

Unions have been locked in conflict with the Iraqi government since the occupation began, but in the past year the battle has intensified. In March, after oil workers protested low pay and their union's illegal status, leaders were transferred hundreds of miles from home. The Oil Ministry banned travel outside Iraq for Hassan Juma'a and Falih Abood, president and general secretary, respectively, of the Federation of Oil Employees of Iraq. They were hauled into court and threatened with arrest.

When the Bush administration pushed for passage of a hydrocarbon law that would facilitate foreign investment, the union organized widespread opposition, mounting what was in effect a political strike and shutting down pipelines in 2007. It called for keeping oil in public hands and protested poor housing and high unemployment. Maliki called in the army and, with US military overflights, increased pressure on the workers. He finally agreed to the union's principal demand: holding implementation of the oil law in abeyance.

And the Iraqi unions are disrupting US oil interests by trying to consolidate domestic power over domestic resources, ****ing scum how dare they!

I tend to shy away from discussions about going ons in the Middle East, since with the exception of Lebanon I haven't studied the issues in depth, and the problems presented in that area are so large and multifaceted that I often feel lost.

You're a bit off-topic but when strategic default becomes the overwhelming trend and the world economy goes into wave three of the great recession, Politicians are going to want to start a war and with consolidated Shia control over oil resources spanning across Iran, Iraq, and the separatist Saudi's which have on-the-ground control in the oil-rich Saudi region what better enemy than those ****ing Islamofascists.
