    Re: The story from Tass

When I tell my grandchildren stories, I'll tell them about this forum and how there was one user called Dorby.

And my god how cool he was.

Just the mere sight of his posts was enough to impregnate 30 women.

EVERYONE: Don't worry, Grandma. We all love you very much. You're going to be all right.

DORBY: Psh, the cancer is going to get worse. Just pull the plug now.

        MAL: Wow, that's very dickish.

DORBY: It's just my opinion, man. People are allowed to have those.

Guys seriously. This thread started out giving the community insight into what was going on and now it's turning into a flame war. He stated his opinion some of us disagree with it but that is no reason to keep flaming at him for it.

For still active members joining in 2002 or 2003, seeing if or when the site will close sucks. I joined in 2004 and it'll still suck.

                      =/

I'm not really sure what to say. It's odd that Synth would forgo all communications with all the other admins. I too would like to hear what Synth has to say about this. If you can't pay them, it's a simple thing to say. Being completely silent isn't the right way to tell them that.

The FFR community is rather diverse in its members, and that's something I like about these forums. (and sometimes hate lol) While I do think that people coming onto this site for profile/"myspace" purposes is dumb, seeing as how it's a rhythm game site, that's not to say there aren't plenty of people here that play the game, try to get better, and participate actively in the community. It's not like you can stop people from making accounts for their own reasons.

                      Don't die FFR!

Oh...Wow...Hey, it's like totally me from a gazillion years ago. I'd say something corny like "gotcha" or "HA! It was ME! YOUR OLD NEMESIS!", but truth be told I posted zilch and only really realised I had an old, old old old OLD account on here whilst trying to use my old email to make a new one back when I actually joined with intention to do stuff.

Not sure why I signed up back then...No, really. I have amnesia.

But it's kind of fitting to post now when FFR is at a crossroads: It's either on the way out, or on the way to a new beginning.

.......Probably on the way out. Still, fitting no?

I'm still trying to figure out just what FFR was trying to be, per Dorby's first statement. "It's never going to be anything."

I mean, yeah, it won't play in the MLB ever since it tore its shoulder out playing with the kids in the park, and maybe it won't play in the NFL since it tore its ACL the other day. But dagummit, it has spirit! And it'll be whatever it wants to be when it grows up. Who knows, maybe it'll go to college and get a doctorate in SomethingAwful with a bachelor's in NewGrounds. Then it'll really be something! Right now, it has an Associates in MySpace and YouTube, but the future is still there!

It'll be something. Whatever it is the forums aspire to be.
