You have to take into account that SM and FFR are two completely different games, even though the overall arrowsmash concept is the same. Even if you can MA on SM that does not mean that you'll have good PA on FFR, even if FFR's timing windows are looser. Mostly depends on how well you can read and how smooth flash and FFR run on your computer as compared to SM where you're constantly running at ~60 FPS.
So choose one or the other. If you stick with FFR, you're more likely to have bad MA on SM due to stricter timing windows. If you stick with SM, you're more likely to play worse on FFR due to your inability to read FFR notes while running at ~30FPS. Not to say that there aren't people who can perfectly play well on both but as a majority, people tend to be good at one but not the other.

Tera is spot on with this statement. This is one of the reasons why people choose SM over FFR. FFR has a limited selection of files to play from (not to mention file quality is terrible ugh) as compared to SM where megapacks are constantly being released and appeal to a much wider audience. SM doesn't make you play better on FFR but rather it helps build your skill, such as accuracy, reading, speed, vibrating etc.
you probably should have played ffr every once and a while during your sm extravaganza. I had a little bit of trouble when I first started playing a ton of sm but if you play them both every now and then you'll start to feel the changes that you need to make in order to get the best PA/MA on each game.
Actually, play 6-key. It's the best for improving FFR.
Wtf is 6 ke... OH YOU MEAN SOLO!
Never heard someone call it 6 keys before, i was thinking about a different game for a second.
Solo rulz.
The only way to improve is like Tera said, the files you play.
Play tons of harder songs you can't FC easily, at least 30+ misses on it or more and keep working at it.
Not saying the harder the better here but... Limit yourself to playing harder songs than you normally do and keep going up.
That's how you originally got to be as good as you are now right? Playing and trying harder songs each day on FFR, not the same songs over and over.
So follow the same pattern.

I actually tried a variety of files and I'm suddenly as fast as I am now haha - my best advice is to not start off trying to do easy to challenging songs (speaking in ffr difficulty terms). Trying to do, let's say, trip to the moon until you can AAA it does not affect how well you perform on harder songs. Oh sure you can get accuracy on an easy song but what will happen when you go up to the master songs? This was a perfect example of when I had rank 1 on death piano back in the day - I wasn't exactly great at scoring on the other files but death piano is a song about speed, not AAA'ing patterns for the entire song so I could afford to get goods at certain areas. On other files (FMO's are a great example) your rank gets downgraded to 30 or higher if you get a good.
I think it may also have to do with a bad keyboard and sliding. Going all MA won't exactly prepare you for harder songs.
