My favourite is Ikaruga. The game is so terribly well-balanced and challenging it's disgusting.
Link's Awakening for the Gameboy (the original mind you) would be my favourite game ever (I beat it 3 times in a row, on all 3 save slots..)
DDR for replay value
Half-Life for the only game that scared the pants off of me more than once (the original mind you)
Ragnarok Online for MMORPG
Harvest Moon for Simulation AKA RPG
Final Fantasy VII for RPG
GTA 2 for Driving Games
Need for Speed 2 for Racing
Bejeweled! for Puzzle
Unreal Tournament 98 for FPS

That's about it.

Well. No.

Tales of Symphonia owned all other games I've ever played within the first hour. I've beaten it 2 times through and now I need to go for #3.

As for PC games, Half-Life 2. No contest.

Gotta love how you can find edible burgers in the trash.. I remember it taking me a good 3 weeks to beat the first time I ever played it.
