Weird - my keyboard is designed very much like your laptop and I've never had my hand in any other position.

If you don't find it comfortable to flatten your hand, then find another method that suits you - I'm sure you can. For example, I use my middle finger only to hit up-down trills, while many others use their index/middle fingers.

Eh no I mean desktop as in what my computer rests on.
Of course now that it's been brought to attn: I found out that it had been basically placed right in the middle of the desk, effectively cutting the space for my hand in half. With a little maneuvering, my hand's now in a much more comfortable position.
Funny the things you don't realize until you say (or post) them.

I stopped playing for a month - I expected people to get better.

Besides, this game is one of my only sources of entertainment in this god-forsaken town. That is, until I start college in two weeks...

Yeah. I have a full load of classes - most at night, one in the afternoon, and two online. Messy, I know.

My sister's starting college this year, too.
Oh and FFR finally loaded so we'll see what happens
I don't expect a major improvement, if any, though.

Would have been much cleaner but the last chain ****ed me up and I got a bunch of boos and goods. No averages though. 8) Now to see my score on Mou Uta...


EDIT: Sightread (I booed out at the start just before this). This was surprisingly easy - the boos are all due to this keyboard though, so I'll keep trying. The miss was random and so were most of the goods.

Don't worry Vantil - if you get it within the next few months you'll still be ahead of me in getting it.

This keyboard is pissing the hell out of me - it's perfect for sliding and crap but the keys are so small and condensed that I get boos on around 95% of runs - the few that don't I always mess up somewhere else. I've had Kyuin at my fingertips now many times and each time it was robbed of it, usually due to this damn keyboard. I'm pretty sure they don't sell my keyboard but I can check at HP...

I'm sure it takes some getting used to.
The keyboard I started playing out with was like 5 years old. And it ****ing rocked. Why? Because I had mashed the keys down so badly that they stayed down. Literally all I had to do for all but the down arrow was to lightly tap it was my finger; no pushing was necessary. But then when the down arrow finally dropped it stopped functioning - along with many other keys for some reason but anywho the keyboard I'm playing on now is by no means as good but I've gotten used to it to the point that I can smoke any scores that I had gotten with my old keyboard.
Except for my ~40 good FC on Silence. That's staying for a long time.

EDIT: 300th post after over 3 years. This is unacceptable.

You're right - I still am adjusting. FFR is just a lot more frustrating than SM though since it has boos, and given how sensitive my keyboard is I doubt the issue will ever resolve itself for good. Still, I'm hoping it gets better.

Post in some of those +1 postcount threads (like "What are you listening to?") since it's such an issue.
