your habit is illegal. organizations trying to legalize it are all run by persons who participate in illegal activities. whether you agree with the law or not you can't expect a LAWMAKER to appreciate you completely ignoring the laws of the country, and there's no reason to expect him to act professionally towards a group of people who actively and vocally break the law on a daily basis.

Dude alcohol is legal and I'm sure you're not allowed to drink at school. It would be the same with weed. And there would probably be a minimum age to smoke it.
