Re: Technical Death Metal
Haven't read barely any of the thread, I'm just gonna list my favorite bands, because that's the way I post nig*as
Not Tech Death specifically
Eyes Set To Kill (girl singer anyone?, old album plz)
Seneca (band out of Charlotte, NC, there's also another band with the name but they suck)
My Hero Is Me (band out of Raleigh, NC, these guys rock, but split up a bit ago)
As Blood Runs Black (drummer is god, Strife (Chug Chug) is ultimate breakdown song)
All Shall Perish (all around great band, nice breakdowns)
August Burns Red (old album plz)
Through The Eyes Of the Dead (songs kind of sound the same, Two Inches From a Main Artery rocks)
EDIT:
after reading through the thread, I've come to the conclusion that...
ShAiOnEi is a metal troll that cares about genre way too much and love to rebel against the conformists.
Thank you, that is all.Last edited by makdaddy; 07-24-2009, 10:03 PM.Comment

Re: Technical Death Metal
Strapping Young Lad is an awesome thrash/"extreme" metal band, and don't rock it until you've heard samples from every album.
Darkane, some good thrash metal. it has some melodic tendencies.
I like classics aka Black Sabbath, Megadeth, etc.
Mokoma is one of the best finnish bands there is. That means the lyrics are in finnish.
As far as gothic metal goes, Deathstars. They're a lot like Type O Negative in mostly the vocal aspect.
Control Denied, Mercenary (mostly vocals rofl), 3 Inches of Blood, Ensiferum, and i like Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, even though they're a bit christian they're good metalcore.Originally posted by ~jroddkeep ur head up or down whatevers most comfortable idk but ya i repsect u cuz u respect others and we all have opinions to share, so respect one another and keep being urself or someone else wateverOriginally posted by ~Tao of DossarI never self-reflect, and therefore, I have no negative thoughts about myself. Re: Technical Death Metal
Listening to a group I picked up randomly last time I went to FYE, called Born of Osiris. Pleasantly surprised by their stuff. The only problem I have with them is that song intros, to them, don't exist. One bar and then vocals... it's a little quick for me. Other than that, liking it.

Re: Technical Death Metal
The Crimson Armada
...You will not be dissapointed.
And everyone whos into bands like these should add me and talk about music with me, cuz i love it!"That's the beauty of music.
They can't get that from you...
Haven't you ever felt that way about music?
Here's where it makes the most sense:
You need it so you don't forget.
Forget that...
there are places in this world that aren't made out of stone,
that there's something inside...
that they can't get to,
that they can't touch,
that's yours"-Andy DufrenseComment

Re: Technical Death Metal
I saw Born of Osiris mentioned on the previous page...if you like BOO, you'll probably enjoy the likes of Veil of Maya, After the Burial (go to these dudes' myspace and listen to Cursing Akhenaten) and a new band called Within the Ruins. Each band only has one album (Within the Ruins just put theirs out), but they're all pretty good at the breakbeat/progressive style of metal.
EDIT: The Crimson Armada was pretty cool.Last edited by foilman8805; 07-25-2009, 10:45 PM.Comment
