Those are rotoscoped. That's not what I'm talking about. I think he's placing the actors in a digital world, and bending the image in a way that gives it an unnatural look. The image of the Mad Hatter there doesn't express it much, but the promo shot of Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee show it.

              +1 for Johnny Depp
              -1 for Alice in Wonderland

Why do they keep making films for "already-famous" stories?
Can't they come up with something crazy, intriguing, and/or ORIGINAL for once?

Making original movies is just like making original songs - it's hard to find an unused rhythm.

I like Alice In Wonderland. I want to see this movie stay true to the story, and not disnyized crap for kids.

Meh...by watching the trailer, I could see a parody.

They need to put the cheshire cat on acid, the rabbit on cocaine, the mad hatter on pcp! they need to drug this movie up.

                        Nice.

Yeah I've seen the promo pics for this movie already. Might watch it only because there are so many colors. I dunno, but looking at a whirlwind of colors just hypnotizes me.

You're right sort of, but that's still financial control, not artistic. They can influence the one with artistic control, but it's the same kind of **** like when the Federal government threatens to withhold funding for states if they don't essentially sign over the rights the Constitution explicitly and/or implicitly gives them rahter than the federal government. It's bull****.
