You should have all of your AAAs deleted. All 506 of them. People have spent a lot of time trying to get Oni, but you cheated your way in.

Sadly, nobody knows. s0ulst0n3 got blacklisted for the same reason.

I just hope admins have become more lenient.

He also hid it from everyone for months. If I cheat now, but then play for 50 more years, actually get the score I cheated to get, it would be ok?

So Tass should not blacklist people anymore because that ruins the chance of them ever redeeming themselves. That doesn't make sense at all.

If you cheat now, play for 50 years, get the score that you wanted, and not realize that you hadn't admitted to yourself that you did the wrong thing for that ridiculously long time period, then I think there's something wrong you. (situation only)

Also, I edited my post: So Tass should not blacklist people anymore because that ruins the chance of them ever redeeming themselves. That doesn't make sense at all.

For what it's worth, it's not like I was horrible at the game during all of this. I had every other ST and was getting scores like 2-1-1-1, 1-2-2-2, and other weird things on Balloon Fever. It was definitely within my reach of AAAing; the old recorded score was 2 goods. I was just worried that by the time I AAAed it, I wouldn't get Oni. I didn't see myself improving this much over a year.

It was just really bothering me that I never told anyone about this, even though I sort of corrected it later on. I couldn't live with doing something unfairly, but I thought that if I waited until I was able to get all the scores I needed to before I admitted it, I wouldn't be in as much trouble.

Realize that one big difference between me and a "hacker" is that I'm admitting it rather than denying it. It's still ultimately the admins' choice though; if they blacklist me, then so be it.

Edit: That second post was due to my anxiety to get it recorded before the Oni reqs were changed.

I just remember some really good players being blacklisted when they could duplicate the score on video, but I guess since they did not admit to anything, they were blacklisted, right?

That's an interesting story though, silvercomet. I used the same glitch for my April Fools thread (RATO SDG, used another song with 1600 notes) but of course I logged out because I really don't want a cheated score on my levelranks, especially one that I could never get legitimately :P

I do think it's weird how the Oni requirements have changed over time (i.e. Balloon Fever AAA, even with avmisses, doesn't get you the token anymore)... I don't think more than a handful of skill token reqs have changed. Similarly I really hope I get it soon because I can totally see all of the FMOs I have a chance of AAAing turning into VCs...


Commandersa1: I know of players who have been un-blacklisted, so I think it's more of a trust thing. If you cheated but you admit to it and prove yourself to the admins (enough that they trust you won't do it again), blacklisting seems to be a lot less likely than it would be otherwise.

I guess my main motive in this situation was the fact that the requirements were being changed. It really didn't make sense to me that someone who would be able to get Oni in 2007 can't get it in 2008 or later because it was changed... would the fact that someone started playing a year earlier mean that they're more skilled?

I do not care what happens to him at all. I do not play this game anymore. I just hate the fact that people are just moving on from this. If nothing happens, I will just photoshop a bunch of pic, and post in the unrecorded scores thread. I will have an average rank of one, once Tass updates my scores and all.

This isn't a player who was known for cheating, it was for a single token, that's why I think it's forgivable.

I do not care what happens to him at all. I do not play this game anymore. I just hate the fact that people are just moving on from this. If nothing happens, I will just photoshop a bunch of pics, and post in the unrecorded scores thread. I will have the average rank of one.

Now you're just being ignorant. Stop trying to aggressively prove a point if you aren't actively playing. Like I said, it was for a single token, it was only one single time, and the scores don't veer far from the skill level of the player anyway.
