What are all the songs that unlock Oni? I know NWE, Southern Cross, LWI, LWIV, Strangeprogram, Silence, Rottel, and Melonman's. Any others?

They need to update Oni's token so that all songs ranked level 11 give you Oni, not just a select few.

Definitely agree...most of the ones that unlock Oni, I've developed terrible mental blocks (i.e. NWE, LVIV, Rottel)

Heh, I actually had a hard time with it. I got some really bad mental blocks on it in the parts near the end. I literally blackflagged it on the second-to-last note once.

I really shouldn't have gotten Oni until now though because I never really AAAed Balloon Fever until after it was ineligible for getting it. In a way, I guess I kinda "cheated", but it was the only score I've ever done that for.

Novo Mundo also gets you Oni. That's how I got it.

God--if I wanted to play 4 minutes of the same stupid patterns, I would play Excite Bike 30 times in a row. Seriously, why the hell is this chart even in the game? There's nothing even remotely fun about it; stupid jacks, repeating steps when the melody isn't, and the song never ******* ENDS.



This is another one that gets on my nerves. The first 1100 arrows are fine. Then there's a stupid burst that starts with a UD jump, and the rest of the chart goes to **** with layering. I always get everything that isn't a perfect on my score, in the last 300 arrows.



Good chart, I just hate jacks.

So... wait... did you get Oni from that NWE AAA or not?

The credits/award should really go to the first person on the list to actually unlock Oni, not the first person to AAA an Oni-unlocking song. If I ever do it I'll make sure to post the "you unlocked Oni gj" screenshot.

This is basically how it all went a while back:

There was a ton of hype about the avmiss fix becoming public, and all the available songs to unlock Oni being changed. I was worried that I'd never get it after the change, so I "cheated" a Balloon Fever AAA. By "cheat", I basically used that old song glitch where you play a certain song, but get the score logged to a different song... but I decided to disconnect my internet temporarily (after the song loaded) so I wouldn't get caught trying.

So I proceeded to AAA the first 970 notes of some other song and auto-failed out. Then I posted that score in the Unrecorded score thread since it looked just like an unrecorded AAA on Balloon Fever. It was then recorded and Tass gave me Oni. I never actually AAAed it until a few months after the change. But when I did go back to AAA it, the replay was avmiss free, meaning that I really did get that same exact score under the same conditions, albeit a few months later.

tl;dr: I cheated to take advantage of the unrecorded scores thread to get Oni, but I was able to get that same exact score later on. If I never cheated, I wouldn't have unlocked Oni until now.

I'd just like to mention that this is the only time I've ever done anything like this and to repeat that I was able to legitimately get that same score later on.

Yeah, I bet I'm still going to get in trouble for this.
