Yeah, how about we stop whining? Okay? Sounds good. Thanks.

Really, it's getting annoying. It also tends to be the same people with ridiculous reasoning behind their complaints. The point isn't to choose a song you guys are all in love with and happy about. I chose a hard VC that wasn't used a lot. I didn't care if it wasn't the most popular choice. In fact, M.A.M.A annoyed me a lot when I was trying to AAA it, but I didn't go and make a big deal about it. I'm also not purposely selecting songs everyone hates. It's not a big deal, so stop making it out to be one.

Here's a warning: Any more stupid complaints and you'll either be kicked out of the tournament and/or not allowed in the next team event. (Already considering this with one or two people.) If it gets really bad, I'll just kick you off of the team.

He's talking about me by the way. I sent him a pm about my division misplacement. Hammy doesn't really like me that much and I don't know why but sometimes lifes not fair all around. We just gotta learn to deal with it and move on. Meh.

Actually I wasn't talking about you, Guru. I also wasn't even thinking about that pm. Please don't put down statements like that based on assumption. Stop being hard on yourself. And Kmay, make sure your two cents are meaningful. Provide logical reasoning behind your statements. Make the manner in which you are debating sound somewhat professional.

Edit: For clarification, the warning was towards anyone in general who was going to make stupid complaints. I didn't see Kmay's post as being portrayed in a the way I would want a statement like that to be portrayed, so that made me put down the warning.

Yeah Guru, you have to back up your assumptions with hard-based, irrefutable evidence.

This sig has been enhanced by the FFR Staff for being too large. Thank you for participating.

                        Re: Team Blue's 1st Tournament

Like I told kmay on AIM the last night while he expressed a few of his frustrations with this tournament.

I like Hammy. We can start with that. I don't like him as a suck up, brown nosing sort of way either. I like him because of his generosity, character, and dedication. Now think about it this way. Hammy has spent the time to respond to EVERY post that has expressed a concern. He has done it professionally as well. Sure towards the last few he has been expressing some exasperation as well, but who wouldn't? He is putting a LOT of time into this and doing the best he can and you guys can't respect that and realize that it is a tournament? Please, give the man a break. He is working hard and doing his best to run an orderly tournament, and while you may have a concern or issue, it is best left in private messaging. I know Hammy well enough to know he would be happy to discuss any issues you had with the tournament in a calm and professional manner provided you (Anyone with an issue) has the maturity to discuss it and take HIS answer, even if it is no.

Now, as for the constant whining about misplacing. You are placed in a tournament based on your potential and ability as seen by the host. If you have an issue, make an appeal IN PRIVATE but please, accept the answer and move on. In my first official tournament I was placed in Advanced. I had 23 AAAs, 86 FCs, and 1 tier point. My best FC was a level 8 song. But because I had that 1 tier point, I was in Advanced. I simply asked Sprite 1 time if he would consider changing it and he said no. So I took that answer. And I used that tournament to focus on my speed, endurance, and scores. I made it to round 3 in the tournament and I had achieved a lot of skill throughout it. The moral of the story is take it for what it is, a tournament. Use it as a growing experience and don't focus on just the credits. They are just there to give a little extra motivation. =)

Over half the fun of a tourney - is thinking I can't win. I feel better the farther I get XD

Very well put, funmonkey. Please, guys... the point of the tourney is not solely to win, but to have fun, get to know other team members better, and possibly improve your FFR skills in the process. I really hope you guys keep that in mind. =P

Oh, and if you're having trouble on a particular song more than other songs of that difficulty, chances are, your competition is, too. So just try your best, and even if you don't make it to the next round, at least you used this event as "a growing experience" like funmonkey said.

Its pretty much what I tell the complainers in my tournaments. Go run your own and then maybe you might have a better understanding of what we have to go through to place anywhere from 10-150 people and then pick songs that aim to challenge those people. Out of the close to 20 tournaments I have run, I have yet to make it through a tournament without someone complaining about placements or songs. Just keep up the good work Hammy.
