In flames has a couple of good songs but I haven't liked them since after soundtrack to your escape. Which was OK. Also, they aren't better than devildriver.

The Haunted were better when The Crown's singer did a stint, during One Kill Wonder.
Forgot Mnemic, they were pretty good. Saw both singers, the first was better.

i have to say...the best band in the world is 'Red'
they are absolutely awesome, they range from soft rock to heavy metal, so yeah, im gonna post about them here lol :P
the good thing about them is that they mix strings with their hardcore music to make it more powerful/emotional. they are an awesome band.

EDIT: the following is my opinion, but i reckon people who arent ON stage who headband, are stupid/childish.
i mean, no song in the world, makes you throw back your head and slam it forward. it may make you nod your head or tap your feet or dance, or heavy stamping or whatever, but no song makes you wanna get brain damage. people only headbang because, its apparently 'cool'. honestly, people should only do it for show, otherwise theyre there saying 'look at me im so cool im headbanging'
