Shhhhhhhhhhh but yeah that was a fun experiment. Did touch it up after ctrl+r though so I can't claim to be perfect. But if you set the gap a little off your steps when you ctrl+r are so much more accurate.

actually dead and direct was a direct layering of bass drum and hi hat then bassdrum/snare and vocals, bassdrum/snare and melody later excluding the 'bursts'

if by straightforward you mean they make sense and ebb/flow with the song instead of attempting to invent gimmicks like quad freezes that end with a 4321 roll then yes. if not then dang i didnt know this was the how does pata "i layer everything no matter the cost to my family" shu think you step things thread

Sorry about the delay...right now, I'm taking a break from stepping manias so I'd figure I'd answer this...

                    Frozen Fire

                    1. feel the groove of Kyle Ward
                    2. throw in arrows as you "feel" fit
                    3. double check to make sure those arrows have no correlation to the music
                    4. oh yeah and there's a BPM change somewhere...

Haha, I honestly didn't know what I was doing. The majority of the arrows go to the main synth but that middle breakbeat section (there are quite some misrhythms but mostly right), the jump/layering scheme ?_?, the 32nds in the slow part, and random notes in places ?_?...yeah. From what I've heard though, indexers seem to like the file, so yay me!

                    Sly

I put a lot of thought and effort into this file...it was my first "good" file IMO, though playing it now, I still see a lot of room for improvement. The main goal was to keep a "constant drive" in the stepfile because the song has a lot of energy.

Basically, that meant stepping the stream parts w/ fun patterns (except the end, dunno what I was thinking there) and the non-stream parts with mainly doubles. I pretty much stuck directly with the piano, though I totally messed up the "breakbeat" section and added a few extra yellow notes in certain places (you know what I'm talking about ).
