Minors can be tried as adults for serious crimes.

It's up to the prosecutors and the court to decide whether this is serious enough, but it is ENTIRELY possible for minors to be tried as adults.

Dude, this is NOT a serious crime. He hit a cat, big freakin deal. He didn't kill it, he didn't break any of it's bones, he didn't even give it whiplash. He just smacked it around. There is no way in hell he will ever be tried as an adult. That only works in crap like murder and large theft.

I agree that he almost certainly has no chance of being tried as an adult for this, but to pretend its not serious because the animal was not seriously injured is naiive.

It's serious because of his motivation and the fact that despite his age, he absolutely knew what he was doing was wrong. If he did not, then his parents utterly failed completely, in which case, a couple more years of development wouldn't matter in the slightest anyway.

For those who are being serious, I think only Afrobean and Syhto have their heads screwed on straight.. jesus christ.. talk about people using pseudo-fact.
