These teens chose to send pictures of themselves to a stranger.
The families are probably like, "This guy is a horrible person! He deserves to be away for a long time."
How are they not at fault too?
It takes two to tango. In this case, hundreds.
I bet they are only getting a slap on the wrist, if anything.

He still had CP in his possession and he STILL used it to blackmail MINORS into sexual acts. His sentence has nothing to do with the fact that he was sent the CP by request.

when a judge rules something like 300 years instead of life, it just means that they have multiple life sentences. for example, a murderer gets 1 life sentence, if he gets paroll, hes done. if u get 300 years, you can get paroll and still have 2 full life sentences that need to be parolled before you are out.

I remember a kid at my high school messed around with someone's facebook and started joining gay groups with that person's account, and little did he receive was a detention and we were all revoked of computer use in that room (couldn't even open iTunes lol)

I though I'd been over this. Life does not mean life when it comes to legal terms. Life means 25 years. He won't serve 300 years. He'll serve all the sentences at the same time (aka concurrent sentencing) so the most he'll get is life (25 years). He's only been charged for crimes potentially yielding up to 300 years in prison. He hasn't been convicted yet and it's obvious he won't get anywhere near 300 years.

On another note, as much as blackmailing people, especially minors is a crime, I think too many of you are focusing in on the fact that he's clearly gay. Being gay isn't a crime, nor is saying you're a chick online. Those kids are all retarded because they shouldn't have sent naked pictures of themselves over the internet. Look at it this way...........let's say, they were sending naked pictures of themselves to their girlfriends, and their girlfriends thought it would be funny to give the pictures to a male friend of theirs. Is that a crime? No. That would make your girlfriend a bitch, but she hasn't really done anything illegal. Yeah, he's gay, and clearly a little ****ed up, but the only thing he's actually really done wrong on a legal level is blackmailed a minor. Not going to get 300 years.
