The full potential of a one hander is equivalent to a player on pad.

yeah bynary is an awesome one hander, he may not be able to AAA FGO's but he booflagged a lvl 10, not too sure if he's AAAd any.

down to the point: i think i am correct in saying that every one hander switches to spread or quits at some time of their arrow mashing careers. there IS only so much you can do as a one hander, AAAing every song as a one hander is impossible, it just cant be done. some FMO's are possible but after you pass lvl 10 (which is extremely difficult) theres pretty much nothing else you can do on FFR, in which case they play spread or quit.

i am a one hander and intend on playing as long as it takes to beat bynary fission lol. after that, ill probably switch to spread.

(just so you know, there are heaps of one handers out there)

...No, It's not a 'retarded' way of playing. And you're making it out like one-handers aren't capable of being able to pass songs that bypass the 10-footer level.
In any case, I wasn't discussing whether one-handers are reaching extinction or not, I was seeking advice on how to switch to more effective techniques for playing more technical stepfiles.

im a 1-hander and i can still pass some 11-12 footers(its hard as hell but doable)

ive been a 1-hander for 3...4? years,i can play plenty KB sims but i do realize my 1 hand lacks the stamnia to go any further.

Re: One-Handers seem to be a dying breed.

Honestly, I never understood why people argue over this topic. It always goes in the same direction (or something like this):

Newb asking for advice: I play one handed, should I switch, stay, or what?

Veteran Spread player: No, spread is better and one hand is retarded (explains why)

One Handers and others: No, it's not. It's simply a different way of playing. [explains why they stay one handed]

                            [argument]

Others insert their two cents regarding the topic, but it's almost always similar to the first or second response. I'll repeat what others don't seem to say: play the way that garners the most enjoyment from the game and don't focus on what you can't do - concentrate on enjoying the game like it was meant to be instead of focusing on why you should switch to be better. Otherwise, all you'll ever do is play the game just to be good, and that's not what the intention or goal of the game is intended to be. If spread is your forte, then continue playing that way. If index suits your fancy, keep indexing. If you enjoy one handing, then stay one handed.

If you want to get good quick, then switch. But if all you do is concentrate on why you have to switch to spread, you'll miss out on the other options and opportunities the game offers you in the way of other styles, and in turn, remain ignorant of the other ways to enjoy the game. Seriously, that's all it is.

I'm not making another post in here, because like I said, the arguments about spread vs. other styles always follow the same progression, and it never goes anywhere.

P.S Posting a one handed score for lulz.

Just learn every style(spread, index, one handed, three fingerd, etc) and you wont have to worry about switching to what would be best. That is what I did, I can pretty much play every style. Sure not all the best, but at least I can do them.

i played 1 hand extensively before switching to spread, now my right hand jack speed is at least 2x that of my left hand.

srs unbalance if you decide to go that road
